Rooks get negged. C'est la vie. It's part of figuring out what flies and what doesn't in a new environment. Don't bitch, learn and go from there.

Is this your general approach to life or just when you have you big boy internet pants on

Collabs that bring something to it are one thing...wasn't a big fan of the Nemen stuff but at least it was creative with the dyeing techniques. Quite liked all the Nikes and at least they were experimental and Acronym-driven. A collaboration with Supreme or something that would do nothing other than slap on some branding and introduce the brand to a load of spoilt pre-teens as part of the current streetwear explosion would be the beginning of the end. I'd trust that Errolson doesn't feel the need to get involved with that type of thing. His designs speak for themselves.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, collaborations on the textile/material construction side of things make sense. A Supreme collab would be a fucking disaster

Sorry, slight rant... please correct me if i'm wrong though...

So what is the game behind people in the FB threads claiming/writing on the back of their posters the ACR x Nike x Kostas Seremetis posters and Tees are limited? They did not have numbers written on the back, I have an entire set of the posters and stickers right here from Hong Kong and have seen dozens from US and UK all with no numbers. The tees were also not limited, there wasn't '50 tees' or whatever... there were loads of them in US and UK in crazy sizes up to 2 or 3 XL, all white and differing prints. The only 'limited' tees at that time were from KITH of which there were a handful in each size of each print.

    End rant.

If the posters/tees were indeed not limited I'd like a full set please

    ^ very nice

for those with the j61, are you guys sizing down? I know it's meant to be worn loose but the measurements look really big.

    TTS for me as well!

what do you use the sleeve pockets for?

    Knick knacks, doo dads etc.

Same here, I prefer the J61 to the J1TS tbh (I got both). The waist cinch gives the jacket a totally different vibe from the back while keeping the front looking exactly the same. Really great piece, perfect summer raincoat. And it looks cool as hell packed into a tube.

How are you packing the J61? I'm just stuffing it into a tube but maybe somebody has found a more optimal solution?

Spoke to a retailer and apparently FW1718 has an "updated" P24 with stacked pockets like the J1TS's right arm.

Heard they are calling it P24M for modified...maybe we'll get this in CH fabric?

  9. Even if subnet functioned as a type of loyalty program for preferred customers, why the sense of entitlement if it was really meant to be a tool for retailers? If people are so concerened with having their little exclusive community within the community, why not go start a closed facebook group or something?

Haha I'll bite. I agree with you guys, I probably worded my last post too strongly but you're picking at semantics and missing the point

I think it's common sense that any business will aim to achieve a certain margin over cost of sales to stay profitable. Just trying to emphasise that the market and brand position that Acronym has achieved for itself plays a big factor in the higher prices this season. It's not just because of extra grids of tech-sys and whatnot. People tend to forget that Acronym is a luxury brand and pricing does work differently in this market space.

Seems reasonable to say Acronym is having a moment with the Nike exposure, but I empathize with og fans wanting a better reason to justify paying more every season for the exact same shit

Oh yes, we're going here again! I love this discussion and the people who will argue that market position is the only determinant for pricing.

    Dominant determinant =/= only determinant

Most definitely, its just that I can't really see where all that money went in this case. I've been able to get why most of ACR's stuff is expensive, like their jackets, pants etc. But when you take a pair of pants and strap some webbing on the sides and multiply the price by 1.5 (or just in general taking an existing item, adding something relatively small, and then charging a a hefty price for that small addition)It just seems a little outrageous. I could be dead wrong tho and working with tec sys might require a lot of time or effort to get it done right.

Price points reflect their market position. The cost of P10s are most people's pants budget for a lifetime the whole thing is outrageous.

EDIT: what mans above me said.
