  1. Wanted to add this... Its maybe 6 or 7 different types of denim from jeans I've collected and worn into the ground or just didn't work, and the bottom is a cinch wool flannel that my wife found 6 yards of... It's not so much a grail as something that I'll never get rid of.... It would be impossible to find another one like it.

That's such a great idea.  I kick myself pretty often for selling off pairs of jeans that didn't work out for whatever reason.  For most of them, all I have are a handful of pictures on my hard drive, if I have even that.

  2. Top (lighter) - Corter natural belt, ~2008 - 2010, outgrown.

Bottom (darker) - Corter heavy natural belt, ~2010 - present

Both treated with Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP a couple of times during break-in.

  3. Finally saw the new Girl video... think I hated it. Stuck around for Marc Johnson's part, got a kick out of the celebrity cameos as per usual, but the skating just didn't do it for me. This newish "ledge dancing" shit isn't fun to watch at all... probably pretty fun to try though. So, I didn't like the new Girl video... does this seal the deal for me? Skateboarding left me behind?

I mean, I'll prolly try to watch it again but... never in my life have I seen a skate video for the first time and said, nope, didn't care for that.

  4. My Railcar Viper x003's . Around a month of actual wear in. tumblr_mhplu3UzGp1qfx4bzo1_1280.jpg

good fit, but is that a bottle cap? don't do thaaaaat... can't possibly be comfortable sitting on a bottle cap every day.

  5. Just purchased some 007 via Ebay seen here: http://www.ebay.com/...cvip=true&rt=nc

However, the patch and inner pocket lining look different than the ones I currently own and from the photos provided from BiG. Can anyone confirm that these are legitimate and why/when the patch changed? I have sent BiG an email as well

Pure Blue Japan changed their international brand name to Syoaiya not too long ago. They look pretty authentic to me.

  6. Does anyone know how to distinguish between an ordinary pair of Pure Blue Japan jeans and their "NC" counterpart (the ones that are advertised to not fade)?

I bought a pair of XX-005's from Blue In Green close to two years ago, and these fuckers are NOT fading. I don't wear my jeans that hard, but they look nothing like my other jeans did after nearly two years. I'm starting to wonder if they accidentally sent me a pair of the NC-005's, despite being $40 more expensive.

  7. i love the diablo series to death, but shit like this makes me hate.

i'm not even a wizard and this is infuriating. i'm actually amazed this piece of shit even dropped; i'm a witch doctor who gets 99.8% demon hunter loot all of the time.

  8. need help finding somewhere to buy good coffee in bulk.

Try http://www.coffeeam.com/ pretty good selection, and great price when you buy in bulk (5 pounds or more at a time.) With the flat rate of $5.95 shipping, it works out to around $8/pound for most of their stuff. Wouldn't recommend buying more than 5 pounds at a time, though. They roast their coffee in-house, and the freshness its on its way out after a month or so. Unless you're looking to supply a coffee shop or something, then go for it. They even do custom roasts if you order something like 25 pounds.

  9. wow, thanks a lot for getting so in-depth.

i did some more research about ivy bridge, and decided against it. i try to avoid first-generation anything, and the pros the architecture provides (like pci 3.0, etc) are non-beneficial to me. i also read that the current research/test chips have been running abnormally hot. however, i do think it's pretty cool that intel made ivy bridge processors backwards compatible with motherboards made for sandy bridge. i've read far too many great things about the "legendary" i5 2500K chip, that it's become my bar-none choice.

as for the graphics card, i've decided to keep my 9800 gtx+ for the time being, and run it in my new setup until it truly becomes a bottleneck. i got honest with myself for a minute and realized the only real cutting edge game i'll be playing this year is diablo 3, which already runs decently on my current setup.

if and when i do eventually upgrade the video card, i'm almost certain it's just going to be a single card in a pcie 2.0 setup, with a maximum of two monitors. i'd love to run multiple cards, but i'm stuck in school for at least two more years, and it's not realistic within my budget.

as for the hard drive, i do need all the space i can get -- i do a fair amount of raw video editing. this 500gb is actually in addition to the 1tb drive i currently have.

  10. i've got about $700 to blow on the following upgrades: PSU, CPU, GPU, ram, mobo, hdd. all other components (sound card, dvd-r, monitor, etc etc etc) are already existing and will suffice into this upgrade.

i'm pretty solid on the following:

    PSU: rosewill 650W

CPU: intel core i5 2500K (sandy bridge -- or should i wait for ivy bridge? gotta stay around $200 here.)

    ram: 8GB ddr3 1600 (plenty imo)

    mobo: asrock gen3 extreme for i5 2500K

hdd: seagate barricuda 500gb 7200rpm (no SSD due to budget)

the graphics card bit is REALLY confusing me, though. the last time I upgraded (about 4 years ago,) geforce was far-and-away the way to go. nowadays, i hear the best bang for your buck are radeons. the naming conventions for these cards is the most confusing shit.

to make a long story short, after the above components, i've got roughly $150-170 to spend on a video card, and i definitely want its strong suite to be gaming performance & quality. pcie 3.0 (i.e. radeon 7000 series) is unnecessary, as i won't be owning an ivy bridge processor anytime soon (or should i wait for those to come out...?) any recommendations?

  11. what are everyone's favourite games other than the one's everyone knows (angry birds, line runner etc)? need more shit to play on the bus.

Twiggle is fun for a quick, easy puzzle stacker game. SNESoid is a really capable SNES emulator that works with any SNES rom you throw at it, but trying to play with an on-screen controller sucks and ruins it. Hanging With Friends is Hangman With Friends. Of course, Words With Friends also.

  12. Looks pretty cool. The bottom menu would look way better if it were a phone icon and a chat bubble or something of that sort, though.

I wish I wasn't so lazy and could come up with some sort of custom UI for my phone. I change the background and that's it. I don't even really use widgets.
