I like the hat. Especially the light brown color. But damn $199 is a tad more than I'll pay for a hat of that style. Every time I call them I keep forgetting to ask if they have any of that leather greaser hat left. I keep going back and forth on whether or not to get it.

Marineabilly also looks more silver than mine. Marineabilly did you do something to take the rust off of yours?

Doc your buckles look to be silver. The current version of the boots are rusty. I'm not sure if it's real rust or a faux rust. I think I'd prefer the silver though.

I don't have a proper camera at the moment. Here is some iPhone shots of my road champs.

I'm at work right now. I'll take some proper snaps of mine tomorrow. I've had them 1 week and havent given them a break, except for yesterday's downpours. The soles wear faster on the champs than any of my Aldens.

Marineabilly what product did you use to pollish yours? They look to be a lot more burgundy than mine.

An added bonus for me tomorrow. My 7161mds will be arriving.

I have a few questions for you fellas. I've been making some leather goods now for a few months. I started after some inspiration from Zissou. He referred me to this great forum. I've just recently started posting here and I don't have pics of my stuff yet, as all I have is my crappy iPhone 3GS camera. Mainly I sell to bikers in my area. I've set up a few times at a local bike cruise in that takes place every other week. I'm setting up at a big hot rod show next weekend.

My questions are regarding hardware. Ive had trouble finding nice belt buckles, wholesale or retail. I'd rather buy in bulk but if the buckle is nice enough I'll buy a few at retail and jack the belts price up more. Ive found roller buckles but where are all the heavy duty garrison buckles and the double prong garrison buckles. I'm in love with the forked tongue buckle Zissou has used.

Also the leather braids have been a hit with the bikers that have bought the ones I made up. Where can I get the little brass hooks that I've seen a few of you using. I first seen them on Japanese goods but now I see somebody found where to get them.

Also I do understand if you guys don't want to let tour secrets be known. So if not then thanks anyways. I'll keep on searching.

I will post up some work as soon as I get some proper camera action going on.

Can anybody point me in some directions to some nice buckles. Garrison, clipped corner buckles, quality roller buckles, two prong buckles. It's hard to find a nice buckle being sold seperate of a strap.

Damn I almost forgot. These arrived 2 days ago. Sorry for the crappy low light iPhone snap. This is me with my feet kicked up on my desk not giving a shit on a Friday night. The boots are great. I sized down a half size. I measure a 10d I got a 9.5. I had to make a new hole because the instep was very loose. The leather is top notch and the smell is awesome and very strong.

Thanks to all who helped in sizing and helping me make my decision. I'll get some proper shots when I get a few months wear in them

Damn man. If I wasn't such a fat ass. I called mister freedom today. They do still have several size 32s left and 2 size 34s in the 7161md. I bought the last size 33.

It's tough finding nice denim for a 12 year old girl. H&M didn't have anything. She wanted something from abercrombie but they stretch like elastic and the rise was way to low and sickening. I can't believe they sell a pair of pants with a rise that short for a child. Only thing I found was some from Gap. They are very stretchy but the rise is much more suitable. Any other suggestions?

I need to add pics of my collection. My Indys have been worn at least 4 days a week for the last 8 months. I also have some black shell cordovan leathersole Pitt boots, cigar nst chukkas, color 8 Alden for jcrew cap toes and leathersole long wings. If I have a chance I'll snap some pics this weekend.

This evening I made a call to Mister Freedom and ordered a pair of their "road champs". I can't wait to put some wear into them things.

Ordered a 9.5d in the road champs this evening. The salesman suggested sizing a half size down. He said that's what they have been suggesting to all their customers who go in to purchase the boots. He said the leather stretches out a ton. I normally wear a 10d. Lets hope he is right and they fit nicely.

I'm thinking of calling Mister Freedom up to see if they have some of their engineer boots in my size. Any suggestions on how to size them? I measure a 10 on the Brannock.
