  1. If you purchase jeans from SE, repairs are 20. 45 for outside pairs.

Repairs are $20 flat for jeans bought from Self Edge, $40 for jeans not bought from Self Edge.

:D guess I am dropping my flat heads off this weekend!

  2. the jeans look awesome. we've seen worse at SE. SELA will be able to fix this up so that you won't have the same issue with that part anymore as well as fix up anything else that's thinning or ripping on the jean. it's also only $20 for you!

why 20? I was under the impression that repairs were 45 at SESF

  3. I will try to post more detailed photos later this week. I've gained weight since purchasing them and the fit is.. nowhere close to how they started out. Enjoying the larger thighs on my SG 3109s!

Cold Summer - I purchased these in July of 2011. Did not wear them much until I had them tapered (knee down), I would say they are at 2 years of wear and ~8 washes.

  4. I could make this my sig:  I always measure the waist on any jeans I own (and BiG carries) 1" smaller than it is stated on BiG charts.

meaning that a tagged 32" waist that BiG says is 34" is really 33"..?

thanks both for the pointers. fits look great!

If these jeans stretch back out on the waist I don't think they're a good call for me - I'm currently having issues with the thigh on my FHxRBJ15's which have a 11.4" thigh. Bummer.. particularly liked the details on this model.

  6. could anyone help me with sizing on the S003JP? The 15th Anniversary model in specific.

I'm familiar with BiG's measuring methods, just unsure how much this denim will shrink with a thorough wash. I am a true 32 - would a tagged 32 in this model be too large for me? Additionally, the jeans are described as tapered on BiG but slim straight on other sites - any insight into the true fit?

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!

  7. That is one incredible-looking collection.  What's your typical wearing/washing habit?

the imperials have been retired (and the denim shown is actually mine and a friends) - I wash every 5 months or so and my friend doesn't wash beyond the initial soak. the FHxRJBs are coming along great but I'm starting to outgrow them. not sure how much longer I'll fit in the thighs..

  8. those are looking great. super close to making those my next jeans. 2 things, are the thighs stupidly tight and is the rise ball-bustingly low (a la rn04). I know it's subjective, but any help would be great! the denim on these is too good to pass up.

The photo isn't very true to color but the best I could do with the lights in my dorm. I'll try to get some better photos up in the next week to show progress better.

With regards to the fit - I'm around 6' and very skinny so the thighs have not been an issue. But I can definitely see how they would be for most others. The denim's stretch is not a whole lot so not sure how to help on sizing but personally I love how the jeans are coming along!
