  1. Here's a bike I just finished for a buddy. This one is also a combination of spare parts and thrown together to make a pretty badass urban ride. Love how stealth it turned out! Those platforms will be replaced with SPD's.

  2. @lestat, The chain does have a little slack, but does not slip due to the large teeth on the rear cog, it's SS specific. I've taken it up 45 degree slopes and absolutely no slipage. Lots of hills here in the Pacific Northwest. Love it! It's a 36/16 combo. I could have gone with a 36/28, but that makes me spin too much. But like I said, this is for casual riding to the pub, no races or speed here.

I used the chart listed HERE to get close to the Magic Gear. If all else fails I can throw a tensioner or a Ghost Ring in there. But no problems so far :)

  3. @dovo Been restoring old and discarded bikes for a while now. Selling some, keeping some, giving some away as presents. People love them! But I do it for fun and it's nice to have a hobby that you can get your hands and mind working.

Here's the latest addition. This was discarded and I built it up with other parts that were discarded by a shop that throws out way too much stuff! But I don't care cuz sometimes I find some gems and keep for myself :)

Been loving the ride on this, gonna use it as my urban transport that I won't be too worried about locking up on pub rides.

  5. I work as a graphic designer and pre viz artist for an architecture firm. I love the studio I am in. I've worked for several big firms and I must say a small studio is the best! People are more close and you are not just a number in the Borg collective. Best advice I can give is be happy, be creative and leave your ego at the door. We are all creative and talented people. By being in a good environment that fosters that helps bring out the best in you and in others. I've seen and been in a few firms where ego is king and those places fall apart and have a revolving door of employees. Interview the firm when looking, don't let them interview you. You can tell it's a good place by not just talking to the owners, but also it's employees :)

  6. @ the repeater, It's a Wichard shakle key with integrated bottle opener. Wichard makes amazing stuff for the boating. Stainless steel that's drop forged so the grain alignment makes it stronger. Something like that... I have their droplet clip for my car keys and their carabiner for my bike keys. I keep them separate according to my day. I highly recommend their products!

Here's that droplet clip from my EDC of yore:

  7. Voodoo Erzulie: Modded with a 700c wheelset. The rear uses a White Industries Eno hub for the vertical dropout. I have installed low profile fenders since for the rainy season. I will be changing the rear rim and spokes to black in the spring. Will also be grinding off the cable and rear brake boss braze-ons.

Kona Hahanna: This is a complete retro mod. It's my urban Cafe Cruiser. So much fun to ride and the steel is a comfortable ride on the trails when I do go offroad, which isn't too often.

I finally was able to upload images through Superfuture's gallery! Yay! Thanks for your patience

  8. Just added a Sharpie stainless steel pen. I like that it doesn't bleed and has a nice amount of friction when writing and sketching. Also makes for a nice improvised kubaton. Did stress tests on the dojo bag and it holds up well to strikes. (No I am not a mall ninja, I actually study both Kali and Aikido). I don't like ballpoints as they slide too easily. If only the Embassy pen from County Comm had a felt tip refill!

Just re-added the Fenix E01 that I use on occasion and I really don't need a super bright light. Also added my trusty Mini-Grip in non-threatening cyan ;)

I seem to be reorganizing every few weeks trying different combos. The keyset and wallet are always a constant though. I removed the Wichard link cuz it was too bulky for the set. This way I can carry my keys in my jean's coin pocket.

  9. @saintkeat Sorry man.

I have read that you have to have at least 10 posts to post a photo. I have eight now (not 2) and for some reason I have been able to post images in another thread (Link). So I assumed I was able to...

I think you might like what I have to post. Patience and persistence :P
