Still going strong, over a year now:

Just over a year into my favorite boots.

Last night's carry:
10 -
My HWBC Bounty Hunters with a year of wear on them.

My White's...They saw a lot of wear over the winter, but not at work. They've been bad on the job since the weather has improved though.. I've had both heels replaced, and am probably due for another change. The front soles are getting pretty work, I'll have to decide what I want to put on there...

First off- I've not been around in way too long. I'm going to try to be much more active here in the future.
And since my jeans are at their year mark (along with my boots and belts...dog ate my cap )
I took some pics today...these are by far my favorite pair, ever.
Cuffs are really starting to get worn, front and rear. I'm not sure they'll last another full year:
I've had to repair the left rear pocket stitching...poorly, but at least I had the repair kit from the DC4001s.
Two items that have stayed in my pockets...
Fellhoelter TiBolt Pen, Ernest Emerson custom CQC-5.
My belts- the single prong is the natural russet, and is now darker than the London Tan. Both are holding up well.
I'll post my boots in the appropriate thread....I'm glad to be back!

Just repaired it, although in hindsight, I probably should have opted to replace, as nearly all of the tread is worn smooth. I figured there was still plenty of rubber, but at the time the ground wasn't snow and ice covered. The repair shop worked as much adhesive under the rubber as possible, sealed the old nail holes, and re-nailed.
So far they are holding up very well, no separation when flexing the boot.

My Natural CXL Bounty Hunters are coming along really well. Reheeled them, and had the separated front sole securely re glued and nailed.
These boots are aging more like HH or shell, as they really haven't creased, and I've worn them almost everyday, for 8-16 hours a day. The toe caps have darkened a lot more than the rest of the boot, and they've received no special treatment, just LP on the entire upper, and a solid brushing after each wear.

I got my pair repaired, and the heels replaced. They came out great, excited to get these back on my feet:
Not my contest pair, but I took my Alden's in to have the heels replaced, and was surprised to find they used Cat's Paw heels.
It was nice to find a local shop that does everything in house, and can do complete resoles as well.

I just picked up some boots from the repai shop. I needed heels on both pairs, and the midsole repaired on my Bounty Hunters. I was surprised to get my Alden 403s and find this:

I would take them to a repair shop, that is some serious wear that you must have put on those bad boys.
I think I'll do that, should be an easy fix. I have worn them a lot, actually today is the first day that I haven't worn them to work. (Wearing a pair of rough out Danner Mountain Lts today, and they feel like running shoes) I don't know what cause the nails to pull through, the actual outsoles are holding up well, I have some wear on the heels, but nothing severe. It's only the one boot, and almost as if the rubber is too soft, or the nail heads too small. The nails are still in the midsoles, but the outsole has started to separate. Not good, as I really miss wearing my White's!

That pair looks amazing...I wish I could wear my jeans enough to get anywhere near as much character.
On the plus side, with our new home came new appliances, and I now have a front loading washer. I needed to wash my jeans, as they were covered in so much dust and grime from cleaning out our pole barn that brushing them off wasn't an option. I'm all for wearing as long as possible, but I don't want my jeans to take on a homeless look. I gave them a wash, and this machine really does mean delicate when you pick that cycle. My fades lightened slightly, but I didn't lose much indigo, overall. Oh, and all the nastiness came out.

I think I'll have to pour a dram of Bruichladdich 3d...

I noticed that one of my soles has let two of the nails pull through. Anyone know if I should just pull the nails, and tap them back in between the existing holes, or take them to a repair shop?

Been busier than I can ever remember...I took a week off work to try and finish moving into our new house. My jeans got a lot of wear in the past week. Did some painting:
Hopefully the old place sells quickly...
The pups are finally settling in:
They'll enjoy the big yard and pool next summer, our last house had no backyard.(we lived on a decent sized corner lot, but the dog were always leashed...here we have over an acre, and they can run)
And to add to the stress, today we had an alarm system installed. The technician was here over 4 hours, and when demonstrating the window sensors, he shattered one.
Hopefully things calm down, and I can spend more time here...I'm feeling like I'm missing a lot.

don't know what kind of flavors you prefer, but fruity flavors from thevaporchef are really good with little to no steeping required from personal experience.
i've only been getting into vaping in the last 2 months so my setup is bland as hell, just a ego-c twist with mini protank 2. i've been wanting a caravela since i found out about it but fuck the resell prices.
highvoltage: real nice stuff, i've heard a lot of good things about super t. which unit do you prefer the most?
I like the Simplicity, solely based on battery size, and versatility. With the 18650 tube, I can use a kick, or go straight mech, or even add the extension and keep the 18650's capacity with the kick. I have been using the titanium 18350 tube lately, and changing batteries about once a day....using either an AGA-t2 or RSST with a 1ohm coil. Also the upcoming integrated/hybrid Super-t atomizer will make the platform even more versatile.
The Precise + 16 is a great little mech. The button and locking system are perfect. I have a small genesis tank coming for it, so I'll probably get more use from it. If I had the 18560 size, I might prefer it.
Super-T makes great products...nothing too fancy, but very well built, great fit and finish, and they just work, and work well. The fact that they are in Minnesota and offer a full lifetime warranty is a big plus.
I anodized the Ti tube today...:
I've pretty much been using liquids from Ahlusion, they are local to me, and make a great product, and extract/create most of their flavoring in house....they produce white label liquids as well as flavoring a for other liquid brands as well. Every flavor from them I've tried tastes exactly as described. I've also liked Jameson's Forbidden Fruit, and The Standards CB4. I have a bottle of Pluid, but really haven't given it much time to really decide.

New addition. Titanium 18350 tube, and brass lock ring from Super-t. I added the top cap and button from my Simplicity, and ended up with a very compact, hard hitting mod.
With IGO-L RBA

I'd pull the trigger on that atty, but Super-t is developing one that will replace the top cap of their simplicity line, making it a hybrid.
For juice I stick with Ahlusion, try their Xpress line as it's pre-steeped. I've picked up a bunch from their location, and liked it all. I place big orders now, and steep as needed...
I'm happy with all of these too:

Cross post from the comp page...my Natural CXL Bounty Hunters, and horrid hotel room carpeting:

I know I recently posted pics, but I'm stuck in a hotel in Atlanta for a work conference, and had some decent natural light in my room*, so I took some shots...
The "antique" hardware is looking even more so as it wears...it's much more apearant in person. iPad doesn't do macros, and my DSLR is bricked.
*while the light was good, the carpeting, not so much....

Up sized my e-cig, and added a Kick2 variable wattage module. This is a Super-T Simplicity 18650, but I'm using the smaller 18490 battery to accommodate the Kick. I haven't smoked a cigarette in a couple months now, and was easily going through a pack and a half of American Spirit full flavors everyday...@ $7.50 a pack it adds up fast. I honestly can't say I miss it in the slightest.
