  1. Seriously how long do these take to go soft? I've had mine for 2months now.

Takes some time. Wore mine everyday for a few months straight and they were soft. Shouldn't take more than a month or so.

  2. since my gf was jealous of my APCs i got her a pair while we were in NYC

its been awhile, since i got them for her and she hasn't worn them yet because its rly hot here

I think they were New Standards, but they were special (more expensive than normal)

the guy at the store told me "they would stretch when worn and shrink when not" and that "they aren't raw"

    anyone got any clues?

  3. okay guys. thanks in advance. Im in NYC for a few days and im looking to pick up a pair of DH 19 cm.

I have 32s in APC petite standard and when I tried on the DH 19 cm in 32s they were great except I couldn't button it. I tried on the 33s and I could, it was a perfect fit. I've owned DH 21 cm before and I remember they stretch out. Should I get the 33s? I mean if I get the 32s I couldn't even button them on to stretch them. thanks!

  4. my size 28s are off by over half of an inch in the knee and rise and one inch in the waist.

o are they? they matched up just fine for my 33s

i was considering ordering 32s online but now idk....

i just thought that the new cures didn't fit slim enough around my calves, but idk about the PS

  5. I don't trust some of Context's measurements. That said, what I was told by APC themselves was that the New Cure was generally slimmer overall, but the PS was narrower in the top block and perhaps the top of the thigh. The New Cure has a flare at the ankle to help the leg look slimmer.

    context actually has correct measurements

i just checked on my nc sz 33

  6. New cures are very slim the whole way down, and taper at the bottom which cuts off the selvedge line. They also appear to have a bit of ankle flair.

Petit standards are roomier in the thigh than the new cures, but are tapered as well so they may seem tighter in the calves and ankles even though they're close to the same.

Yes the new cures are slimmer than the petits, but the petits often give the impression of having narrower lower legs and leg openings because the thigh is larger. This also allows you to size down more on the petits than the new cures.

ahhhh thx....now i understand so they size pretty much the same?

  7. ^ just compare measurements...............

    Petite Standards

    New Cures

whats weird about that is that i got a sz 33 for my new cures and it says that the actual waist is a 34 but i got pants on the same day that were a size 32

so now im very confused....even though when i measured those pants they were like a 35 or something and when i do put them on have about a good 2 inches of room.

    so im very confused

and according to that the new cures are actually slimmer than the petites?

  8. Ill probably get negged for this but I dont get why people buy NC or PS to just have them look like that.

They just look like regular straight leg jeans rather than a slim/skinny fit.

i have a pair of dior 19cms and they fit awesome except their a little big now and i know that NC are similar fit with the 19 cms so i got them.

  9. just got my pair of APC NC sz 33

    i fit perfectly snug

im planning on getting them hemmed whenever i can find a tailor around here

wat do you guys think? sry for the bad pics, but theres no one to take them for me

  10. Let's see tag 26 is a size 28. My waist measures 29 so I sized down 1 technically. But they really stretched out to 31.

To get a perfect fit you shouldn't look at the waist unless you're in-proportionate. Try them on and see how they fit your thigh. How tight a fit you want depends entirely on it. They stretch plenty. Apcs are suppose to be cut slim and slender, hence vanity size.

alright. I see.... I don't really think that my body is proportionate enough. Think my thighs are still a little big and im currently in the process of dropping weight too. I'll try and get to barneys co-op to try them on i guess.

    thx

  11. 5ive should try to look for a retailer near you and try the various fits. i tried all their fits and like 3 size till i found one that fits right.

id like to but sometimes it hard considering im at college wihtout a car. :(

apparently ure supposed to size down 1-2 sizes for diors and i didnt at all and they fit perfectly snug now their a little stretched but nothing that make me throw them away.

so i'm not all that sure wat size i should get for NC

  12. I am pretty sure that Diors are modeled after APC denim, the 21 cm cut after New Standards and the 19cm after New Cures, but I may be mistaken. I am fairly certain though that Diors are based on APCs since APC has been around since 1988 and Dior only started making men's jeans in the early 00's (2002-2003)

thx... im not all that sure about myself either i just knew that they paralleled eachother.

so since the last 2 pages have been a jumble of size fitting can someone tell me exactly what size to buy?

my 21 cms are 34 (with about an inch to spare), and i usually do wear 34 jeans

  13. i heard that one of the APCs is modeled after the dior 19 cms.....can someone tell me which apc? I was thinking about getting a pair of 19 cms but they're just really too expensive.
