lowk: I have pretty fair skin so any past breakouts do leave behind a visible mark. i've pretty much given up on trying to correct this because it's a natural process. your skin will eventually correct itself as you age IMO. just need to moisturize, which if your blemishes are not that contrasting to your skin tone should already help soften the appearance. it will eventually go away IME however short or long depending on the extent of the damaged skin. the malin+goetz definitely helped me as it keeps my entire face moisturized and matte finish instead of being dry that can exaggerate bad skin. keep in mind where you are and the lighting can play a major part on your skins appearance if you're more self-conscious about it. keeping your face moisturized has a certain characteristic (i wouldn't say sheen because ideally you want it to stay matte) but throughout our day we do perspire. point being, light reflects off your skin. imagine being under the sun with your skin in a health glow and then the opposite.
And I know this is a skincare thread but keep in mind other features of your head can magnify your skin. For example, hair and how it's styled/cut. (I really need a haircut...)
I have kinda fair skin as well but I'm out in the sun a bit so I was wondering if there was anything to help speed the process so the sun doesn't darken my scars/spots. I know to wear sunscreen but does anyone have one they like thats light/mostly natural? I dont like putting on most sunscreens because it feels too oily unless I shower before to dry my skin.
I've been trying to minimize my routine & keep it pretty basic and natural with products. If anyone has any recs (a cheap & expensive choice would help) for my routine let me know.
Day:
Thayers non-alc toner
Neutrogena ultra gentle soothing lotion with spf 15 (anyone have a better/lighter moisturizer?)
Night:
Neutrogena ultra gentle daily cleanser
Thayers non-alc toner
Paula's choice 2% bha liquid (haven't really noticed a diff from using this, should I be?)
Neutrogena ultra gentle soothing lotion with spf 15
Should I be exfoliating or using scrub at all?

Need some decent priced everyday tees that are a little slouchy fitting crew neck and not too thick. I like the supima uniqlo tees but they are too short & not slouchy enough
