I don't mind denim that's tough to fade and I'm no fade queen, but I do like high contrast fades. On PBJ's blog post on the AI-001, there are pics of a pair that's been worn for three years, and they appear to have faded very evenly overall to a lighter shade of indigo. 

I own a pair of AI-002 that has since been retired due to change in my body shape (gained weight from the gym). You can take a look at my old posts to see that there will not be any significant fades to the jeans themselves.

@saintkeat, you should consider the pbjs. I own and am participating in the first round with a pair of ai-002. They are slim not skinny, so with the BiG measurements the 013 will be skinnier. I have worn mine for around 10 months and they are still going pretty strong except for some tears.

Not sure if lighting gave it that effect but butt fade=awesome.

IH 666 xhs 2 months in and already wearing them like they are nothing at the beginning of the summer months!

Mega you have totally stolen the thunder away but here is my second participating pair ih 666 xhs with just around 2 months of wear. Summer is right around the corner here in Beijing and I am still going to keep alternating my pbjs and IHs.

Speaking of Double Volante, anyone interested in a pair? I ordered them on impulse and realized that their straight style is not my cup of tea. I will post pictures of them soon.

This is a really broad question. My friend is looking into his first pair of raw jawnz and he was looking for a low rise slim fit. Any suggestions on brands and cuts?

Megatron, have you thought about those who are underage but want to participate? I think laxlife is underage to drink in the States.

definitely. i can totally attest to this, my xx005s are like 5 months in now, and they're fading gorgeously.

My PBJ AI-002s have been worn for 10 months now and because of the condition of the denim (naturally dyed to the core) mine has barely shown any wear except the holes on my heels. They are still holding up pretty good but are in need of a crotch repair soon. Just keep wearing them and the fades will be glorious.

Looking forward to hearing this in public.

I sdo in a sense but in reality i just went true to my waist size which is a 29. Also I wear a 29 in SDA, 30 in PBJ and Momo X Take5

It has been a while since I posted, we do not get to have a break because of Christmas in Beijing so I have been busy with exams. Will post updates of my PBJs and newly added IH-666 XHS shortly!

I'm willing to bet even that wouldn't do it right. To the best of my knowledge no pics exist of these jeans with sick fades. I am so curious to see if it can even be done at all. What I love about these AIs is that unlike some of the other brands I've seen try it (Oni and Samurai) these don't look crazy. When the Sammies 510 version came out earlier this year I rushed to check them out but I was horrified by the 1980s acid wash look of them.

I will try my best not to disappoint. Although I agree with you on the tear before fade, I can see my crotch starting to get a little loose.
