  1. Loads of nice jeans again from knugget, duck sauce etc.

F380s, 1 wash at 17mo after the initial soak. This pair is being surprisingly stubborn. I had more wear into my Sorahikos by this point.

Pre/post wash pictures are nearly identical, so just posting post-wash:

These are also nice and funny how the whiskers look somewhat like honeycombs.

  2. Nice thread!

My Filippa K's (Swedish brand) crotch ripped pretty badly after a night out. Funny thing was that I didn't notice anything before next morning (wasn't that drunk really) so I really have no clue when or how it happened.. They are made of Chinese selvage denim. Here's something about it:

Jeans were bought in february 2007 and used till end of the year and few times in 2010. Soaked these first time in end of october and this happened about a week after that, so don't know if there's some connection.

This is how they saw out after that:

    and repaired:

Some smaller repairs done before and then used some double-folded leftover denim on the bigger hole.

  3. those acnes, although very 2d, look better than APC at what i assume is a similar price point.

At that point they did and those were still made in Italy(no idea about the origin of denim). Nowadays Acnes prices have got higher as the brand has got bigger and imo quality has lowered. Just wanted to show that it is (or at least it was) possible to get some fadings also on those with time. :)

  4. These are my Acne Mod Raw bought in the end of november 2006. Used pretty actively till the end of 2007 and again in 2010, but they are bit too too tight for my taste now. Washed few times. In 2008 I got pretty bored on Raw denim and that period lasted till 2009/beginning of 2010 and my raw jeans mostly just was kept in my closet at that time. Have had my first pairs In 2004, but there really is no documentation of them anymore which is a bit pity. Anyway here's the photos:

  5. Here are post-soak pics of my 1967 505's 30/34:

Those measured about like this when bought:

    Waist 78 cm = 30.7"

    Thigh 27.5 cm = 10.8"

    Knee 20.5 cm = 8.1"

Those were tried on before measured for the first time so it's possible that the waist has been a bit smaller.

Measures after a day of wear and a soak:

    Waist 82 cm = 32.3"

    Thigh 28.5 cm = 11.2"

    Knee 20.5 cm = 8.1"

I don't really know how much the legs have shortened because I didn't measure those at the beginning, but they felt like to be something about 35" compared to my other jeans with leg length 34". Measured after soaking 87 cm = 34.3".

    Cuffed and ready to wear:

  6. If you mean with tight the waist-part, so yes, but those have already stretched to a comfortable level. But to someone who lives in scandinavia those are actually pretty baggy with the ongoing cheap monday tight -jeans trend and those are also my baggiest jeans for a looong time.

And what I understood is that sanforized jeans should not shrink when washed, right?

  7. Those are still bit damp and don't know exactly how much those have shortened. seems about 2 cm which is 0.8 inches, but might be less. It says on the jeans that shrinkage would be about 10% which seems pretty much. I like them (double)cuffed so length is really no problem and for my leg length 32" is too short to cuff like that.

  8. This to be my first post here so hello equally to all!

These things have likely changed by time and place but my mom said that when she was young in the sixties they specially did fade their jeans with water, soap and brushes to get the worn look on them as all jeans were sold at raw state. She also has some small scars on her hips because the jeans were so tight that she had to wet them and lay on the floor to even get em on. At that time the only acceptable brand was Levi's. I think that is pretty fascinating at this time when you can get really tight jeans in all possible washes and from a huge variety of different brands.

And now on to subject. These are my first jeans made of japanese denim. LVC 1967 505. As were I live it is pretty hard to get quality jeans. We have like apc, levi's, nudie, naked and famous, indigofera, evisu and some others over here, but if you want some more exclusive brands you will have to get em online.

These are 30/34. Sized down one size. Soaked lukewarm like for 20 minutes to get the possible extra length off.
