  1. For clubbing, you might want to check out F12 Terrassen. They are having parties every day all summer. Mostly House/tech house/techno on a decent outdoor terrace. They have a really nice restaurant aswell, called F12.

    Info: http://www.f12.se

    Address: Fredsgatan 12

    Shopping:

    JUS (http://www.jus.se/),

    Welcome (http://www.welcomestore.se/),

    NK (http://nk.se/sv/nk-stockholm/).

    SOLO (http://solo.se/),

    Nitty Gritty (www.nittygrittystore.com)

A lot of stores are situated on Hamngatan, Biblioteksgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan and around there. But of course there are stores everywhere, and it depends on what you like.

If you want to do some tourism, you might want to check out the Swedish archipelago (go to Sandhamn for example and eat at the Sailor Hotel). Boats go daily from the City. They have some nice beaches there aswell.

There are a lot to do in Stockholm besides the obvious tourist things like Old Town (stay away from Drottninggatan if you don't want to buy expensive tourist stuff like small elk decoration and I love Sweden t-shirts...), The Royal Castle and so on. Instead, go have a picnic in the sun or take a walk around Djurgården or visit the National Museum (http://www.nationalmuseum.se/sv/English-startpage/)

Let me know if there is anything else you want to know, happy to help a fellow sufu member :)

Thanks for the info house. What's the coffee scene like in Stockholm -- any good places to try? Any other food/drink recs would be great too. Thanks.

  2. Thought I'd get SuFu's take on the Fjallraven Greenland jacket before I buy. I live in SF, so I don't need crazy warm. I want something solid for every day wear, rain-functional and comfortable for biking.

Anyone have experience with this jacket? Wondering how it fares in the weather...I know Fjallraven's all about the wax on the G-1000 fabric, it would be cool to hear from someone with first hand experience.

  3. First post, hi.

I just searched SuFu high and low for a Detroit thread but came up empty handed. I know it's slowly coming back from the dead, and I'm considering making a trip out there, just to explore. Is there anything worth checking out? Neighborhoods? Food/bars/shops? Strange abandoned buildings?
