  1. ItsJustNC the bag and the belt are really beautiful ,the bag remind me of a school teacher bag or something ...i think i'm gonna make one for myself inspired by yours .

simontuntelder, OIL tanned leather are really nice to work with ....but like the blackgoat said it is very hard to get a good burnished edge ,

So when i use this kind of leather i prefer to cut the edge very clean and sand it a little, it gives a nice rugged look

I have already post this pic in there but this is a wallet i have made out of oil tanned leatherth_DSCN2041.jpg

  2. nice work scasi !

I really love the design of the goliath v2 wallet .

Thats a new design of card holder i am working on ,this one is just a prototype and need a little more work .

Suggestions are welcome ,what should i keep or add /change .

    Thank you!DSCN1760.jpgDSCN1761.jpg[/img]

  3. I have a circle cutter that I found in japan town at the $1.50 store, it's basically a compas with a blade instead of a pencil.

If you do it with a blade, cut 1/2 to 1/3 first time, then come back and cut through all the way. Then sand the edges. Thats how I solved it...

Heres a new wallet inspired by WWII bomber jackets-

    Really nice wallet dude!

is this a patch or it is leather that you have painted?

  4. f50fan- if you want you can buy a starter kit from tandy leather factory there's small kit with everything you need to get started mallet, stamps, swivel knife, thread and needles and more .....thats what i started with and when your skills improved you just buy better quality tools.

These kits are really nice for practice cause there's some little projects like wallet ,key chain ,money clip...included

i dont know if you will understand my shitty english but take a look at tandyleatherfactory.com

  5. R.B. the undyed/ natural set have not been treated ,I make it for a friend who dont know anything about leather and put some cheap spray shoe protector on , before i even have the time to tell him to oil it.

I'm curious to see the result ...will see when i meet him .

By the way the little belt loop/key holder got treated with aussie leather conditioner and sun tanned a bit , it age really well will post pics soon.

The little ''hat'' for the tool are pretty nice, i was wondering what to use to protect my tool, ..think i'm gonna make some of these.

Thats what i like about this thread it's very inspiring.
