  1. If I were to call up the Dior store right now to have them ship a pair of raw denim to me, would those be MIJ's or are the ones in the retail stores now different? Also, would sizing down 1-2 sizes be efficient? I'm looking for a slim/tapered look, and I know 19 cm's aren't exactly tapered, but I don't believe they sell 17.5 cm raw denim anymore.

They do, I'm going to pick up a pair today. I think they're 560 now.... rose quite a bit in price

  2. The 17.5mij raws have been out for a while now I would say about almost two years...They initially came out as a limited run, but since it was high demand it became a permanent fixture.

  3. You guys have to try it to believe it... I still cannot believe I dropped almost 600 for it either. And for the ones that were wondering about the 17.5, the last I checked which was last month, they weren't released yet according to the sales rep manager. But he might be wrong since he seems pretty clueless about the types of fit I was asking about.

  4. this place is still there for sure and will definitely be staying. They get a decent amount of business. I personally ordered a couple of custom jeans from them they are nice, but like many have said they are more on the expensive side.

  5. 19cm = "straight". available in selvage at a hefty premium.

    17.5 = "slim".

16cm = "skinny". these are really (really) skinny.

    19cm, 17.5 cm = button fly.

    16 cm = zip fly.

the inseam is shorter than diors, but not by a great deal. the ssense fit pics are misleading. stacking haters will not like slp denim.

the fit is generally like diors, but lower, narrower, and slimmer. the denim seems to be thinner but finer. the impression i get is that they're like a streamlined, more severe, cleaner version of what came before. die-hard slimane lovers will probably love them, those who have moved on into anatomical cuts probably won't.

the boutiques seem to be pretty clueless (if very nice) about all the above, the variety of denim seems to be confusing them.

i can post more thoughts later for those that are interested.

thanks a lot man, these sales reps are absolutely clueless... i bought a pair of the selvedge thinking they were supposed to be slim(17.5) but these are straight fit. Anyhow I am still waiting on them to get more slims(17.5), apparently they are sold out just about everywhere and the moment any 17.5 seems to come in they all just fly off the shelves

  6. 100% cotton mij raw or one of the ones with stretch?

pretty sure its the stretch, 17.5 raws only come in silver selvedge and they retail like 600-700 or somewhere around that range

  7. As long as you have 1" of room in the waist, give them a super hot soak and then hem them up - you should get the fit you are looking for on them. The 21BSP is our ST fit, so it should turn out the same post soak.

the person at the store told me to do a cold soak for 10mins, i regret not asking for his name, how long for a super hot soak?? and i can put two fingers between my waist and the denim

  8. 3sixteen ST-100x. size 29. 2 days of wear.

The denim is starting to show more character after a soak and some wear.

So i'm looking for a fit exactly (if not similar) to this one, i recently just bought a pair of bsp 21 from SENY and they look rather bulky/ baggy, it fits pretty well as there is a enough space for it the shrink into a tight fit. however, i get the feeling that a cold soak could only shrink the denim a tad bit, and it would still maintain it's "baggy" look. Thinking i should just get the st 100x or should i try soaking?
