Love it, JAW. I've been thinking about making one for a while now, just haven't had time.

Well said, Corter. I completely agree that product testing is of the utmost importance, and yet oftentimes, regardless of the field, products are pushed to market before they are ready. I know that I won't consider selling an item until half a dozen or so have been used for a number of months. I was out with a group of friends last night and we had 15 of my pieces and prototypes between us that we were all testing the durability of.

Beautiful, Unlucky. I love the idea of your minimalistic billfold.

Belts
in superdenim
Damn dude... Awesome buckles..! You made it..?Thanks ItsJustNC. I made the belts, they're classic Herman Oak 14oz (I love how this stuff darkens), and I alter the buckles with a ball-peen hammer. I would love to get into more metal work, but right now that's just not in the cards.

Not sure how to cross-post, sorry.
Here is a side by side of my belt at 6 months with sun and oil, and a brand new one. Both were cut from the same 14oz vegtan.

^ I like the Roman (?) texturing on those buckles! Thanks. Lots of patience with a ball-peen hammer, but the effect is pretty cool.

Just a quick belt I made the other day. Pretty simple, but people have seemed to like it, so here it is.

Just a very simple card case wallet I made out of 4 ounce leather.

I make custom belts through [email protected], but in the leathercrafters thread you'll find some truly amazing artisans (Hollows, Corter, ObiGood, et al.) who all do beautiful custom work as well.

The belt on the bottom I made for a friend yesterday, the one on top is my personal belt used for the past 4 months. I cut them from the same 14-15 ounce hide, so dense it broke a blade.

Holy crap, I just sharpened my edger after many months of neglect and I feel REBORN.
Nothing beats sharp tools. Just had to gush, and this is the only audience that cares.
I went through all of my tools a couple of day ago and it made a world of difference.

It finally got really nice out this week and I was able to enjoy working with the windows open:
Hollows, great looking workshop! Man, what I would give to have such a space.

This is a Mail Bag I made about a year ago. I realize it's not new, but it was my first large project. The bag turned out to be a real learning project for me, taking me about 20 hours to complete.

I made the "s" hook myself from some heavy copper wire I got at a local hardware store.

New bracelet I just made myself. 14/16 ounce Hermann Oak vegetable tan.

I go to a great old school barber in San Diego. Get a beer with the cut and they do a great job, $16.

I got my old LL Bean Blucher Mocs resoled with a full welt and Vibram sole. I plan to get lots of use out of these this summer.

High end roller ball pens are a waste of money. If you have the money to spend on a Mont Blanc, you'd be a fool not to get a Pelikan 800 or Parker Duofold fountain pen.

^ i cant remember what happened but the whole ring post snapped off sometime ago and the parts were scattered all over. i picked up what i could find and assembled them back but some part must be missing cause it is very loose now.
sadly, i cant seem to find anybody selling them
Rakuten has the reign hooks, but I'm not sure what the shipping is like right now. Here's the link http://en.item.rakuten.com/tino/cs0001/

I have about half a dozen vintage Zippos, including a couple of Vietnam era GI ones. I have found myself acquiring antique propaganda posters. I bought myself one, now it's all people seem to give me.

Looks great, Corter. I did one a while back and they break in beautifully.
