Currently wearing uk9 DB and uk9 wallys. Possibly could've sized down half on the DBs. Just wondering whether I'd fit a pair of RW 8165 8.5US.

forgot to mention, if the damage is severe and the denim is over dyed, or waxed/coated, then i imagine it might be a little tricky.
anyway, let us know the outcome.
Yeh, I do a lot of riding in my skulls so I plan to get it repaired once I begin to see signs. Will let you know how it goes.

^^ Awesome! Yehh, doesn't sound the cheapest, but I figure, if I've already paid the good money for a good pair of denim, I should put in the costs to maintain as well. I'll give her a visit soon. Cheers fenrost

Lonsdale Clothing Alterations (161 Lonsdale st) are my go to place, have had rips, crutch blow outs etc repaired there each time and always been pleased.repair as in? mending the rips?
i usually send my stuff to Dr. Do-All, located at the emirates house at 257 Collins Street.
Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'm mainly looking at repairing crotch blows and to stitch up some loose threads on a couple of pairs of my denim.
Fenrost, how expensive is expensive? I don't mind spending a little bit as I know a good doctor can really extend the life of denim, I figure it's easier than going out to source appropriate threading and needles to attempt to do it myself.

My turn to ask questions. Anyone know a place that they'd be confident in to get their denim repaired? Somewhere that knows what they are doing.

I've gone to a barber shop to get it done (Dr. Follicles) which was alright. There's another more old school barber on Getrude Street (next to De Clieu and Anada) which does pretty mad old school cuts. Depends what you're after really.

@tyro - that's fantastic! TBH, I haven't been to APTE, liar liar or 3bf.
Cup of truth sounds promising. Do yourself a favour and check out Auction Rooms, their house beans a little more acidic than usual (imo at least) and their food is fantastic. Probably my favourite food out of the 'specialist' coffee places so far.
Photo plug for auction rooms cause I enjoy going there so much.
amazing gazpachio

Definitely seeing more Slayers pop up more often now.
Tyro, which ones you been hitting up? Seven seeds (and all their branches), St. Ali (and all their branches), Little Mule, Auction Rooms, Proud Mary, Dead Man, DiBella? Those are the ones off the top of my head.
