  1. That is quite curious that the sizing chart would not reflect that or mention it anywhere. Either the lot as a whole is sized smaller or perhaps you have a pair that was tagged incorrectly? ~2+ inches seems like a large discrepancy between lots.

  2. I really love the color on the s5000ka. I remember finding one pair in my size on rakuten and I was sitting on the fence about them. When I had made up my mind they were gone :(

  3. 1001, sz 31

    ~7 Months. no wash

Pretty light wear over the 7 months. They have lived a students life. They are my favourite pair. The denim is soft and they fit great.

  4. anyone have experience with FH 1001's and also 710's? i have a 1001's in sz. 31, i'm thinking that's closest to a size 30 in 710's?

also, been out of the loop for a while, but is anyone still selling 710's with the black arcs and red tab? does BIG sell them with the arcs at least, because the pics on their site show nothing there. thanks.

I have a pair of size 31 1001 and went with a size 30 in the 710. The waist is slimmer initially in the 710 but within a week it stretched out. The thighs are pretty much the same and well slimmer from the knee down. My 710s are lot 13.

  5. Loving the images on this page.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered the 710s. They were out of 32s, so I went for a 31.

Will sizing down 1 mean I'm in for a world of hurt? Anyone else sized down in the thread?

My waist is 32" measured and I ordered a tagged size 30 s710 and it wasn't all that bad. It was tough to button up at first but they stretched out to the 32" required pretty quickly.

  6. I sized down 1 on my 1001 and imo they fit perfectly. They were a little snug at first but stretched out just right. I would not have been pleased had I went TTS or +1. Especially since as PeterParker said, they are intended to be a slim cut.

  7. Soaked my s710xx yesterday and tossed em on slightly damp a few hours ago. Got the exact fit I wanted. I just need to get that durn button underneath the top button done up tomorrow. It's a funny angle and my thumb is raw from getting these things buttoned up today. The thighs are pretty similar to my FH1001 and they taper form the knee down exactly like I wanted. I'm glad I went with the size 30. Definitely some needless worrying a few posts back. I'm now looking forward to the fall/winter so I can actually put some wear on these!

  8. Thanks for the input everyone, I'm not so worried about it anymore. I think they will shrink down to the measurements I wanted when all is said and done. 8/9 months is a lot of wear down the road so not something I need to think about now :) I'll just enjoy them as long as they let me. I'm hoping I get a chance to soak them this sunday :D

  9. They s710 are sz 30 and my 1001's are size 31. s710's measure 15" w/dip and the 1001's measure about 15.75 w/ dip after about 5 months. The FH1001 shrunk down to 15" w/ dip after it's initial soak.

  10. ^ after soak u gonna be in big trouble m8
Wait that's pre soak?! That's gonna be painful.

I think you guys are right :( How much stretch/shrink can I expect. Looking at the charts I thought they would be right but they are pretty tight for pre soak. Charts between BiG and SE said the waist was the samebetween the FH1001 sz 31 and s710 sz. 30 :S and My flatheads weren't quite as tight and they were 31. These are size 30. What should I have sized?

  11. So I got my S710XX Lot 13 w/ black arcs+red tab in the mail yesterday from 2nd and had a chance to take a quick fit pic pre soak. I'm liking the fit so far and am looking forward to soaking them. The 19oz fabric makes the buttoning a bit of a pain. Especially the lowest one. I thought my FH1001 was annoying at first to button:rolleyes: Other then the button thing they are really comfortable already.

A nice little bonus was the mousepad they sent me :) Not something I ever use but think I will start using one :)
