Are the pants WWII Impressions or original?

Those jeans he's wearing have a 10" rise, it's far from a low-rise jean. He's quite skinny and tall, so he wears a medium in the shirt.

To find a jean that would reach the button stay would require a jean with a 14" rise which even the MF Californians don't have in his size.

IMO, 10" rise is a low rise. Regular Levi's 501 STFs, in their latest iteration, have a 12" rise, and that's in smaller sizes. Regular Dickies 874 pants have a 14" rise in smaller sizes.

I ordered a pair of navy pants from them. The fit was period correct: very high rise and wide leg. Probably, not what most people here would like. This might not be the case for the jacket. The pants also ran large: size 30 was about 32" in the waist.

As for the quality, I did not study them too closely, but one of the belt loops was almost completely separated from the waist.

I think I read that the 201 jeans shrink less than other LVC jeans. Is that accurate?

I used the Barbour Thornproof dressing that I bought from Orvis.

Hope this helps. I think the Belstaff wax is the same.

Barbour seems to say that one cannot wax a jacket that wasn't originally waxed, because the wax would bleed through the cotton shell to the inner lining and the clothes one is wearing under the jacket.
