Here is a couple of pics of the (sorry for the poor lighting) Casquette Ouvrier (indigo stripe hat) and the Chemise White Calico shirt. Enjoying everybody's pics keep them up. Thanks.

Are the pants WWII Impressions or original?

  2. Those jeans he's wearing have a 10" rise, it's far from a low-rise jean. He's quite skinny and tall, so he wears a medium in the shirt.

To find a jean that would reach the button stay would require a jean with a 14" rise which even the MF Californians don't have in his size.

IMO, 10" rise is a low rise. Regular Levi's 501 STFs, in their latest iteration, have a 12" rise, and that's in smaller sizes. Regular Dickies 874 pants have a 14" rise in smaller sizes.

  3. I ordered a pair of navy pants from them. The fit was period correct: very high rise and wide leg. Probably, not what most people here would like. This might not be the case for the jacket. The pants also ran large: size 30 was about 32" in the waist.

As for the quality, I did not study them too closely, but one of the belt loops was almost completely separated from the waist.

  4. Hey Derek,

I used the Barbour Thornproof dressing that I bought from Orvis.

Hope this helps. I think the Belstaff wax is the same.

    CP

Barbour seems to say that one cannot wax a jacket that wasn't originally waxed, because the wax would bleed through the cotton shell to the inner lining and the clothes one is wearing under the jacket.

    You haven't had this problem?
