  1. Seeing a lot of Downtowns on eBay right now. Anyone know where these are coming from? Are they releasing soon or something?

Also about the 1k belts: I was 1 of the 5 winners last year who was supposed to get a free one when he was first starting up. Still haven't gotten mine. He said us winners aren't priority though. One day I guess... (Still waiting on my TOJ too... LMAO)

  2. Could anyone whos handled the new ACG funnel neck comment about it and recommend sizing for someone who's 5'7 150lbs 37 chest? I think I remember only one person here who just said it was interesting or something... Measurements on End and Firmament do not line up :/

  3. How often do you guys wash and reproof your jackets?

Just went out and bought some Granger's. Went for separate wash and proof instead of the 2 in 1. There was a wash-in proofer and a spray-on proofer. Reviews said the wash-in was more effective so I ended up getting that but would the spray-on be worth getting as well so I have the option of not always having to do a wash to proof? I might be completely wrong here but wouldn't washing more often than what is necessary end up being worse for the jacket over time?

  4. To set the poofer? What do you mean exactly?

Alternatively could I just drop it at the dry cleaners? Or would there be a risk in them fucking it up?

Good deal for 600? The guy said he got it off one of the Sufu mods here. One part of the lining is ripped but looks like an easy fix. I'm not too sure how much these older versions go for.

    Appreciate the help guys!

  5. Which areas? The seams are the weakest areas normally. Do you wear a backpack? The pressure from tight straps cab reduce water repellancy

Random patches on my forearms. Haven't really checked the body at all.

  6. So there has been a big change in the apparel industry regarding DWR.

The old standard was C8 DWR which performed better for repelling water but was possibly toxic.

The new standard is C6 DWR which is actually more expensive, performs worse but is not toxic.

So more than likely it has C6 DWR on it which only repels water for a bit. You shouldn't be too worried though if you have a membrane on the fabric. That is going to be what really stops water from getting in.

Sorry I should've mentioned that the repellancy only stops in some areas after 2-3 minutes. The rest of my jacket has no issues for what I can tell (my walks to school don't take too long). It's this unevenness which concerns me... I've never paid this much for a shell and this performance is making me think I should've just gone with Arc'teryx.

  7. I got the WM BLK no stitch mountain parka a few months ago and have only worn it a handful of times. Water stops beading off of it after 2-3 minutes in moderate rainfall... Is this normal? Shouldn't the factory DWR be more effective than that? I don't have much experience with techwear and quality shells so I'm not really sure.

  8. Just got the White Mountaineering BLK No Stitch Mountain Parka... Not suer if it's the right size though :/ Going by measurements it seems good but I went up 2 from my regular S.

Will update with pictures once I get it and itll go up in the market if it ends up being too big lol

  9. Anyone have experience with White Mountaineering BLK sizing? Looking at the no stitch mountain parka in a size 2 and the measurements seem smaller than S in a lot of my other jackets.
