  1. Does anyone happen to have recommendations for suspender buttons? I have a pair of LVC 1976 that I sized up a tad on, and after wearing a Halloween costume involving cheap snap-on suspender buttons I’ve realized I much prefer to wear them this way.

I was looking for some buttons I could add on myself. I’ve had bad luck with cheapo hammer-on buttons in the past and I thought that sewing some on would likely be the most comfortable.

my rule with ordering stuff online and you are unsure about sizing, order two sizes over your regular size, try the gear on and if it is pretty loose, boil the fucker in hot water and tumble dry till kingdom come and bob's your uncle.  overalls are meant to fit loose anyways, right?

Reverse vanity sizing...I like it. :D

Gonna try my best to get a 360 degree measurement on my current pair and go from there.

  3. That’s what I figured too. I’m assuming they’re made with their standard denim. People usually get a little bit of shrinkage out of it after a warm/hot dry, correct? I think I remember skimming posts here and there discussing hem lengths with dryer shrinkage taken into account.

  4. Any brave souls out there with a pair of wrecking crew overalls? I’m thinking about getting a pair for work to replace my old Dickies but I’m worried about shrinkage.

  5. If anyone comes across a secondhand pair of Lot 74s in 31x32 please let me know. I had a package containing a pair I bought from someone in California stolen off my porch last night. Local USPS is refusing to help beyond telling me they believe the mail carrier more than they believe that the package was not on my porch when I got there less than an hour after it was marked delivered.

Good luck.  You're at the mercy of USPS at this point.  They probably mis-scanned , a common mistake with USPS.  /Usps on reddit definitely opened up my eyes a little so I would suggest going on there to air out your grievances and questions.

Btw, I'm monitoring a ems package with a new delivery address so I'm crossing my fingers!

Don’t I know it. It was delayed about a week thanks to the winter storms on the east coast and was marked as out for delivery two days ago with no updates. Finally marked as delivered today with nothing to show for it. Already on the reddit thing...I don’t use it but a friend of mine used their account to try and get some answers. Already contacted the seller to see if they have any more info than I do.

  7. I feel like most of my recent posts have been asking about using the dryer...so here’s another one. Does anyone have experience with putting their black seed denim in the dryer? I’ve had LVCs shrink up quite a bit in the dryer on low heat so I’m wondering if the black seed will be similar. I know this stuff is loomstate so “similar” shrinkage will be a relative concept here but I’m just wondering if consistent dryer usage yields crazy amounts of shrinkage.

I have one of their older ones before they came out with the revised fit that I've regularly washed and machine dried. It's probably at 5 years at this point and I've relegated it to home wear. I didn't notice much shrinkage, but the fit has become sloppier and it's lost much of its original softness.

Thanks for the info. I have an old Levi’s crew neck that’s at the same point as your Buzz. It’s about five years old and pretty much blasted. Currently between a Buzz from Rakuten and a McCoy ballpark sweat.

  9. Does anyone have a Buzz Rickson sweatshirt that they regularly run through the dryer? Looking for a solid crew neck that can stand up to regular washing/drying and I’m thinking about getting a Buzz sweat from Rakuten. Thinking maybe I should size up so I can run it through the dryer without worrying about the fit.

  10. Quick heat wave seems to be over and I have the day off so it's time to get some work done outside. Tooling around in my beater jeans + still trying to get the feel for these Pecos. I'm used to more low-profile shoes. The fit feels fine but I'm worried they look too big on my chicken legs.

  11. First day of decent natural lighting in a while so I figured I'd take some pictures of my Black Maria Chelseas before I give them another wash. These are the 15 oz version. I've had them for maybe a little under two years. Honestly haven't kept much track of time and washes, but they're getting to the point where the fabric is really starting to "open up" if that makes sense. The close-up shots are more representative of the true color. Probably the sturdiest jeans I've had. One of the hidden rivets is just barely starting to poke out in the last shot. Been eyeing a black Mule Skinner for a while and I might go for it soon!

  12. saw the current version of the 1947 rinsed, and these seam a little bit on the bigger size. as long as you can try em on, buy em true to size waist like, since it always stretches back.

Excellent, I bought TTS in the waist and they feel pretty good. I use to go TTS with my regular ole 501 STFs and did the same here. Thanks to all for the info! I'll try and get some pics up soon.
