I'm thinking about doing my first wash. I'm fine with hot temperature to get some shrinkage but I'm wondering about how long i should put it in for. Some people said they took out their jeans before the spin cycle. Any reason to this?

And is inside out always the best?

my uncle is currently in tokyo and asked if I wanted any souvenirs. Asking for some jeans would be just mean for him to buy. I'm looking for something cheap and denim related that would make a good souvenir. I can't find if anything is on sale so all i can think is about the soap...

Any suggestions?

Does anyone know how the denim on 634S compare to Samurai 710 (especially fading wise)???

I am contemplating buying a pair from OTR for very cheap and then tapering them...

i was planning my next pair in a couple of months to be 710, but the 634S are at such a good price, it's hard not to buy even though I just got a pair of skulls last month...what to do...

P.S. I'm not even sure if the tailor's machines would be able to handle the 21oz

I tried stacking on my pair but it looked similar to yours so i ended up cuffing them, and they turned out much cleaner

I ended up soaking my 5507, and now i miss the shine:( , i hope it was worth it for setting the creases in better

Granted, hemming them will definitely make the fit a lot more polished, I do know the feeling of wanting to keep the full length. I rarely cut mines either. Here is an ultimatum to cuttin' your stacks. Cuff the jean inside about 4 - 5 inches or whatever is appropriate, then do a normal 1 - 2 inch cuff on the outside. As seen here:

Does it make a difference if you cuff inside? Right now on my skulls i just double cuff on the outside.

aeglus: I can definitely see the differences, the denim looks much darker almost closer to black than indigo. I'll post some pics up soon. Are you able to get proper stacking? I'm trying to mess around with it but so far the cuffing for me looks the cleanest

aeglus: I bought a 31 but my actual measurements differed from SE. Everything was almost dead on but the leg opening was 7.5 instead of 8.0, which i was happy about.

My real question is how do your combs compare to your 5010 without the soak, or how do you thinking they will compare to your 5010?

From just noticing pics posted it seems like there are a lot more tiny combs compared to a few large ones.

and i'm loving the pain especially in the thigh area

aeglus, my pre-soak is almost identical, right now i have them cuffed because the stacking is sloppy. Still debating whether to do a hot soak, and then wear em while soaked or wait till they dry...

How was the shrinking overall?
