Great denim in a tapered cut, what's not to like?

After a 6 hour soak and a machine wash, they did not shrink as much as I expected. But I don't plan on washing them again just to get max shrinkage. The fit feels right to me.

 

Waist: 16.25 > 15.25

Front rise: 12.25 > 11.5

Thigh: 13 > 12.25

Leg opening: 9 > 8.5

Inseam: 31.5 > 30.5

The post-wash waist fits just right, but it seems to be really stretchy. For those who are still on the fence, if you normally wear odd sizes, sizing down should not be a problem.

These arrived a few days ago, unpacked today. Removed the horizontal stitches and the left pocket tab. The best $200 I've ever spent!

 

Going to warm soak them overnight. My raw measurements:

 

Waist: 16.25

Rise: 12.25

Upper Thigh: 13"

Leg opening: 9"

Everybody's fit is glorious! Still waiting for my pair to ship due to my late order & hemming. Judging from the fit pics, these are made bigger than I thought. Glad I didn't size up

Got these Skulls 5507xx from Take5 Hong Kong a few weeks ago. The sanforized dennim feels a bit like the Denime xx denim that I used to own. As it is the one wash version, the denim does not have the satin-like texture as described by some of you. Normally I wear W31 but I size up 2 to get a roomier top block and comfier thighs. Unfortunately they are for sale now to fund my DenimProject contest jeans (check my sig).

 

Got them from Take5 Hong Kong a few weeks back. Less than 10 wears and no fading.

 

I sized up 2 (W31 to W33) so the fit is more relaxed. If you go TTS these should look pretty slim.

When will the hemmed pairs be sent out? And I am surprised that only 3 pairs need hemming

Had them since March 2010. They were worn sporadically, and I probably threw them into the washing machine every 10 wears or so.

 

Just paid and I hope hemming raw would work out fine. Please add me to the list!

Question: Does D-101 use Zimbabwe cotton? I look all over the web, it seems all R.J.B models use Zimbabwe cotton except D-101.
