^^^to kinda go off what rosarkar said,
the flathead collabo, oni collabo, Kamakazi attack(although theyre skinny guys), the japanese heritage. So technically its not really even their denim.
what they do with the collab jeans is give the other companies their measurements of the wg's & skinny guys and the companies like flathead oni, ect produce the jean....
a lot of times the collab jeans tend to have a really really short inseam after a soak due to a lot of them using unsanforized denim.3 -
I went 2 down on WG and 1 on SG like a lot of people from this thread. A size 30 WG measures 32 at the waist giving you size down 2. But hey each to their own, the only way to get a good comparison between brands and fits is to compare 2 size guides from a reputable source.
general rule: you do what you want.
You went down 2 on wg's which is what most do(even me), but the waist measurement is vanity sized by 2in.
skinny guys people go tts because it is the actual measurement( sometimes off by a half)
sz charts are on blue owl to see my reference
you might be skinny in the thighs so thats why you may have to sz down one on skinny guys..but people usually dont

most people go tts on skinny guy, i think you're thinking of wg's geeman
1 -
^^im with you on that too. Ive had 2 pairs of skinny guys and 2 pairs of wg's. I think it has to do with the cuts and how they dont factor in how guys can have bunz n thighs too...
lol
Edit: im now on the hunt for a slim fitting jean that doesnt kill the kids.. maybe some imperial sheerers1 -
I just got my first pair of raws.UB221 love the fit color build.best.jeans I ever.had.compared to.true.religion nd rmc nd those hundred.dollar sean johns I used to wear... I haven't taken them off since I got them last wednesday... r the more expensive brands i that much better? Cuz
more expsensive pairs are usually better... compare these to a pair of 3sixteens and you could see the difference...but theyre a great starting pair for raw denim

sorry if this is a repeated question...but where do you guys get your fabrics? i plan on making a pair in the near future.. chino's and denim.
and any pointers would be awesome too

they just re-released these, round two? lol

you should reread that because the denim theyre putting down are overpriced designer brands (true religion, rock and republic, etc), theyre not comparing themselves to higher quality raw selvedge denim
they are much more than just testing the waters, the general public wouldnt even think about dropping $400-800 on a pair of IH,PBJ,samurais. its a product that people can wear spending a little more than they normally do on mall brands and getting much better quality than theyre used to. they most likely wont spend more money on higher end brands and will be returning customers for unbranded
hell i wouldnt even drop 400 on most jeans...
but the general public cant justify spending 300~ because they dont know better

My first pair of selvedge was unbranded and i dont think that they attempt to compete with top brands rather to serve a nitch market. For me the thought of päying $200-$500 for a pair of jeans was a bit too much but a pair of unbranded on sale at urban outfitters got me in the game. The quality was better than what i häd owned to that point. That said, when it comes to selvedge, you most often get what you päy for. Both the button loops and back pocket stitching were quick to go on my pair. Stiil they were worth what i päid.
it says it on their website right here, http://www.theunbrandedbrand.com/about/
but I honestly dont think theyre trying to compete with higher quality brands either....but they just shouldnt market as if they were. And dont get me wrong I like this brand too... My first pair of selvedge denim after i had some STF's. i agree they are a very good starting brand to test the waters of the raw denim game, but nothing more.

Nice review ...do the buttons feel cheap and fragile?? sorry it bugs the crap out of me, they want to compete with top brands and they cant even have decent buttons on their 14.5 oz's

How's the construction on the new 21 oz's?
yeah i would really like to know about this as well? anybody with them can they comment on it? buttons? stitching? the denim?

for sure, did you go tts? i hear a lot of people sayin to size up
0 -
mdssmith, looking so nice make me want to get a pair. where did you get yours? blue owl?
0 -
just man up and wear em out, knee bags are inevitable my brotha...ive noticed that too though, i think its the thickness
1 -
tooawesome correct!, the back yolk stitch also got unraveled too...
i love the nep skinny's, nice hairy denim, has a lot more character than most of the NF collection
0 -
sorry if the pic is super giant, but her's my nep skinny guys, holes are from gettin hit by a car on my bike, jeans next to em are some 511s aha
washed em a lot so no atari fades
0 -
those are atrocious, send them back and get a 2 sizes down...
and no im not a skinny jean advocate...
-11 -
Iron hearts are better...the denim fades faster and nicer imo. The construction...well naked and famous have had some quality issues and the wg's buttons falling off due to wrong button placement, rivets have also fallen out from what i've seen on here....Iron hearts have chainstiched hem and pockets where naked and famous 22oz dont. The overall construction of any iron hearts will blow you away compared to the naked and famous 22oz
in all realness there is a reason you're paying more for those jeans
I still love my e2's, and ive noticed n&f's heavier denim tends to fade better than the 12-14.5oz denim they usually run
but yeah Iron hearts most definitly blow the naked and famous 22oz out the water.
but try a pair out, i highly recommend them if you want something heavy without the heavy price. hope this helps...

That fit is on point! May i ask what her actual waist measurement is? My girlfriend has the naked & famous stretch selvedge for a little under a year and barely any fading going on so i would like to get her another pair for xmas.
