fit looks like it'd be good (with a single cuff or no cuffs at all). How did you size?

I haven't on my ns, but I have on my sams - and seen lots of other people with that problem.

people also do it to get shrinkage out of the way before they set anything. I don't know about skulls, but that's generally not done on apc's since they are sanforized and don't shrink much.

new standard sized down one or two. I also have large thighs/butt and sized down two for a post-stretch fit like that.

if you soak the jeans, that would probably make them fit better. If you're worried that they'll be to small, you could put something in the tight areas to keep them from shrinking too much. I would definitely try soaking before I did something drastic like tapering or hemming. Also, I don't think the fit is that bad. It looks like a good, looser fit... and the knees will look better if you soak to get rid of some of the starch.
soaking them wouldn't help much since they're Sanforized. If you can't find someone locally to buy them, they aren't that bad - just not the slim fit that's more popular in this thread.

Unless you want a baggy fit that looks good. Basically anywhere your body is putting pressure on the denim will stretch, thighs and ass included. Just wear them to sleep for a few nights and you will be amazed.

hand wash with a gentle detergent or dr. bronners. Press between a couple of towels until you get most of the water out. Wear dry.
If you want to hang dry, hang horizontally so the dripping water doesn't give weird fades.
