  1. And now for the more interesting post...

    First reaction:

I'm super happy with my purchase. The wallet itself is really nice. Granted, I don't have anything to compare it to, but the construction seems top notch to me and the materials are great. Design is exactly what I wanted: simple, clean and efficient, but with just enough flair to make it unique. I am really really looking forward to spending a good long time with this wallet :D

The folks at Voyej were really great to deal with. Quick to respond via email, answered every silly question, took care of my purchase on an individual level, you name it, they did it. Really pleasant group of people.

Last thing before the pictures: it is also nice to know that they really take care for the presentation of your goods. Opening a package like this really takes the purchase to the next level. Really nice attention to detail.

Enough with the gushing, onto the pictures. Please excuse the fact that I only have a cruddy phone camera which sometimes likes to turn everything green, depending on the lighting.

  2. Does anybody know roughly how long it takes for Voyej's shipping to arrive from Indonesia to the USA (specifically Boston). I'm debating between corter and voyej at the moment.

A friend of mine in Illinois told me that she got her package from Voyej in a little over a week from the shipping date. They had estimated two weeks, but I guess she was lucky.

Hopefully in about a week I'll be able to confirm the same thing

  3. That is completely fine, and I am all for sourcing your own meat, but the picture itself could have used a warning. Personally I'm not offended or grossed out but many people will be, and would have preferred for that to have been hidden in a spoiler tag with a warning for the squeamish

  4. If you've been waiting for months and are dead-set on it, it might be worth shooting Gordon an email to see if he knows when the next run will be coming out. As we all know, these things are usually limited by how frequently the mill produces the fabric

  5. Damn... so the 12's are basically the 11/13's but with the slub denim? only 1.5 months in on my flatheads but definitely want to get the 12's next

the 13 are also the slub denim. The difference is that the 12's have the indigo weft. Basically 12 is to 13 as 7 is to 5

  6. @ ampur2

Looks like you need to go up a size. That denim doesn't have a ton of stretch in it.

Also, you should probably force yourself to button the lower 3. It won't get any easier until you do it

  7. @ZackV

Yeah again, don't get me wrong: it is still a great fit, and if they are still comfortable, more power to you. That is how my APCs ended up fitting after they had been washed a few times until I was able to phase them out of my rotation. I just thought the sizing was relevant to the discussion about buttons some people had had earlier

Again, they look great though! Do they really look that grey indoors, like they do in the picture, or is the lighting just strange

  8. @ZackV

your top block looks exceptionally tight... poor buttons.

not to bring up a discussion from earlier, but I feel like this is another example of someone who downsized too much and whose buttons are suffering for it. Don't get my wrong: the rest of your fit looks great, but if you experience a broken button like rimting and fungee, I wouldn't be surprised.

    That said, great fades.

  9. I really interest in Midnight Warrior, Can anyone show me the fit pic of this jean?

I'm pretty sure that it is the exact same fit as the jbxmomo jb0101 and 0100sp (well figuring in random production variation, I suppose), so looking up fit pics of those in this thread should give you a pretty good idea

  10. im having trouble with the inseam of the jeans, and its too long for me so which one the first steps that i should do? hem it first or insoak it first? (*unsanforized jeans)

    thank you

If they are unsanforized, you should be soaking it first anyway, regardless of inseam problems. That initial soak will change how the denim fits from the waist to the thigh and through the leg (and of course, it will take in the inseam a bit as well)

If they are still too long, then you can look to hemming them.

Alternatively, if you know that post-soak they will still be too long, then you could also hem them then soak. Typically the amount of shrink can be predicted pretty easily (ask the person from who you bought the jeans what the expected shrinkage is)
