I need info on Paul Smith 1946 stovepipe carpenter jeans. Overall look are they selvage. Do they indeed have a carpenter pocket. Is it the same denim on the Red Ear, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

As far as I know, all Unbranded denim ever made is sanforized. Still, a initial soak wouldn't hut them
Yea they were a little long and I hot soaked them and prob. got about 1.5" on the inseam

Just picked up a pair for $11. does anyone know if these are sanforized or not and whether a soak would be feaseable

Also while I'm here, those appear to be from Levi's now-discontinued Selvage Goods line (at least the jeans in the pictures).
It also looks like this particular model is known for their AMAZING HONEY COMB FADES!!!
What I was wondering is if the selvedge was from Cone or if it is from a prefecture in Japan(since it says Japan raw selvedge) and yea I'm totally stoked about the righteous honeycomb potential myself.

anyone recognize these jeans? Or know where I could get the specifics. Where the denim is from, the weight of the denim, where they were made, etc.

anyone bought the skull 5000xx here? the unsanforized one with the xx type cutting? any updates???
yep, I got tts and they were huge in the legs(the top block wasnt bad.) so I got them tapered and now they are somewhere between a 5010 and a fitted 5507, but the denim is some of the best Ive seen on skulls, my 5000xx mod is my favorite pair of jeans right now. The rise is higher also but only by like an inch, which I liked.

the ass fades make them look unique, quite nice

yea, my bad, I just glanced and thought they were the 877 10th anniversary, but still, great deal.

I usually am sure how to size jeans, but sizing on the 811 has me a bit confused. I'm a true 33 waist to start off with, possibly a bit more, but the 5010 skulls that I tried on in a 32 fit in the waist, snug, but still. The 34 in the o/w 811 was fine in terms of fit, what I'm looking for, but I couldn't get the top button on, then I tried on the 36 and they fit perfectly in the waist. I was told that the 36 in the raw would be good at BiG. Should I get a 34 or the 36 in the raw 811 when it comes out?
34 to allow for stretching, I have both and Im about the same size as you, I did a 33 in o/w and a 34 in the raw after soaking they were tight as hell but after a couple weeks you'll be golden. always go small in raws or in a couple of months you will be investing in many belts. JMO
