  1. The colour is great. I was worried it was similar to the teal colour of my P11-CH but it's much lighter. Very true to official stock pics.

I also got the Component shirt in same colour (not my first choice, wanted Cascada but they were out). Will be interesting to see how well the dual material perform. Back and armpit/inner arm section is Merino wool.

  2. - initially i was hesitant about the all-nylon voronois because they're so thin, but they have turned out to be my favourite pants. i've really warmed up to their angular drape, the stretch is nice and they're breathable and quick drying. There is a spot near the crotch gusset where the seam tape is coming off the fabric, but they're still as new otherwise. Has anyone picked up this summer's neptune light ones?

Just received this years Voronois in neptune and I was surprised at how light the material felt - exactly what I had hoped for. These are my first AV trousers, I usually go ACR (P10A-S & P11-CH) but they aren't great when its really hot.

I hope they are as durable as my ACR and Outlier trousers...

  3. Big thx to @badlydrawn Fast communication, fast shipping. Great seller))

    Cheers man!

    FS: SS16 S14-BR Small BNWT

    Condition 5/5

With a heavy heart I am letting go of the ultra-soft S14-BR! It wasn't even worn once, so no wear/tear/damage/or blood stains...

    360 Eur incl. shipping.

PM me if your interested. Sorry no pics this time but I guess you guys know what I'm talking about.

  4. For those that own the J25-WS, do you have any personal tips or tricks for stuffing it away in it's own stow away pocket? I just tried doing it once but wow did it take me forever. Mostly because I was afraid of tearing or stretching of the fabric. Did you remove the jacket sling before packing it? It's not as easy as I thought. It's definitely no KR-SM1 :P

@cmdR - could you give me any tips on your technique? I'd love to get packing this up down to 20 second rather than the minute+ I experienced last night ha!

@badlydrawn - perhaps you might have some tips on this since you mentioned you wore the J25 often.

I don't really have a method, at least like Spyron - its basically just stuffing it in itself and just making sure the zip doesn't get too tangled - usually try to insert the zips last and than giving it a whack against the palm to pack it in finally. : )

As cmdR mentioned, the fabrics quite durable, it always kind of feels like I might poke a hole in it (even after this many years) but it hasn't happened yet. And I use it without much care tbh. Not much help I am afraid. Packing takes 45 sec - 1 min, unpacking is 20-30 sec roughly.

Oh, and I never use any of the jacket/shirt slings.

  5. I actually have an Arc'teryx piece, some LEAF thing that also was very tight, but it was designed for the stitching around the neck to give in (tear?) to accommodate. Not sure about the sweat tho.

  6. I thought I had finally gotten my ACRN sizes down... the S14-BR in S seemed all perfect just for the small issue of not being able to get my overgrown head to fit through - argh!

The LA6-DS also in S on the other hand fits perfectly, as with all my other S pieces. I can see the LA6 becoming a fixture in my wardrobe. Also the DS feels less rough than DS-KA3 or DS-LA3.

A real shame about the sweat, it was so soo soft mmmh.

  7. Ok dude.

You need to remember that almost all of men street fashion in post-soviet Russia and Ukraine(it's different but i can talk about those two, because i know only RU and UA)

are born from "on the terrace fashion", Stone Island, Fred Perry, C.P.Company, etc.

Almost all were football hooligans inspired, and so a bit right-wing oriented.

Like right now there is only one left-wing football club i know in UA "Arsenal-Kiyv".

So SI patch were almost a marker for trouble, till maybe 2004, not so much anymore.

A lot of local brands with tech aspiration or inspired by acrnm, si etc are made by guys who were active on derbies and liked to fight on matches.

They are older, more mature now, no fighting people on the streets.

But still can secretly draw SS in their prints just for fun and lols etc.

offtop: Тоr Steiner is now owned by Dubai conglomerate :) so don't worry.

Nationalism in Russia now is anti-countries, not anti-nations and far right are not popular as it was in 90-x.

But still a lot of my acquaintances who wear SI are ex-skinhead\far right radicals.

    You can watch http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05r844j

In Ukraine it's even more liberal, if you are anti-moscow it's good. :)

Wear anything you want, how you want. Football hooligans are still present but no hard far rights.

There now a bit of skinheads on the streets, but they almost all young (sub 21) and from far east territories which is ravaged by war and pro-russian mercenaries.

I believe they will be assimilated by more liberal culture of big cities.

There no particular "scene" for high level techware in UA for example.

I believe there no more then 10 people in ukraine who have Veilance clothes.

And i don't know anybody who owns any Acronym in Kiev.

In RU it sells, they have more money, but i don't have particular knowledge about community per se. A lot of communities in vk.com (ex:techhunter) thou, but not a lot of owners.

If anybody could chime in, please do.

Interesting post, thanks. Never actually noticed SI was so prevalent in the Far Right scene till I saw those EDL types wearing them. Kind of lost my appetite for SI since then : )

  8. It felt fine on it's own, although it certainly is a strange/unusual material to wear as a t-shirt. I really don't know how it would hold up on a hot day, my gut feeling is you'd get sweaty but I don't know how Windstopper hold up in that situation. Maybe someone who has the LA5-WS can tell us? And if they have one in Large, maybe sell it to me? ;)

I did forget to say in my brief review above, I was completely blown away by how light the S16 was when i took it out of the bag. Amazing stuff.

LA3-WS was not that great for warm weather, it got stuffy and clamy very quickly. It worked best during cool nights and temp ranges from ~10-22 C but YMMV.

  9. Anyone see a difference with J32-GT 1.1? Other than the 100 Eur markup...

Shit the more I look at the J28-K purple, the more I want, but S is sold out...

And the S16-WS is sold out o_o

  10. Concrete still had a few DS-L1 iirc. Surprised it isn't paired with the shirt, maybe it's later exclusive acrnm.com drop (or if erlsn decides to put up the old stock — there were larger sizes left iirc). As for the S16-WS (and the new J25-WS) the descriptions suggest they are packed away until needed. The J25-WS even has slotted loops so it can be stored directly on the 3A/TS bags?! I haven't been convinced by the previous windstopper (and dryskin) use as summer jackets but perhaps this is the new Gore Active shell fabric:

I'll wait to see it in the wild before completely dismissing S16-WS. (Even then though, SS16 J25-WS looks like the better buy)

I have extensively used both the WS-J25 (SS12) & LA3-WS and find them my go-to out ware throughout spring to early autumn in my climate ymmv ofc. The dryskin on the other hand I dislike, too heavy, is less wind resistant and has a rough feel on the skin.

I just want some dif colours tho, olive or something else would be great.

  11. i can't believe he actually made a t-shirt out of windstopper

if its anything like the LA3-WS, its an instacop for me : )

much better than the DS-LA3 & DS-KA3 that I never touch.

  12. J32 is definitely more sleek in design

J47A is built more as a purposeful jacket.. updated version of the J28.. both I love because of my pocket fetish. hehe

but that left angled shoulder pocket on j32. the j32 imo best sleek v practicality acr shell. just love it to death.

  13. Some great recommendations here guys thanks.

    London Spy was excellent.

    Lining up River.

Watching Billions too, has potential, and with The Big Short (movie) it fits nicely into high finance shenanigans theme.

The Expanse is weak in acting and a bit unfocused, but please more of those realistic space battles and I am a happy camper.

  14. Hmnn, dunno, I always got the pieces I wanted when they drop.

Nice interview btw, didn't know that IG account was community driven.

  15. Oh boy do I have a lot to say about the J-40L. First, this is one of my favorite pieces from Acronym ever. That being said, I think the fit's a little weird. This jacket is definitely not for everyone.

For me, I think the fit is a bit box-y, kinda similar to the cut on Cav Empt shirts. I'm wearing a Medium here. I'm normally a Medium-Small for ACR sizes (5'10", 160lbs), so overall I'd say the jacket is TTS. I'm a bit barrel-chested (I'm 38" around the chest), but I actually like how the jacket fits around my chest. I have a bit of a gut, and feel a bit of tightness around the waist (my natural waist is 35", I wear 33" pants) without the zippered insert.

The sleeves run long, like most ACR jackets, but the longer sleeves feel a bit weird with the heavier leather fabric as opposed to cotton or GTX. I bet the length of the sleeves will become less of an issue as I wear it in.

Let me take some pics real quick.

Here's the full album: https://imgur.com/a/HusYX (I'm not a talented photographer) and another on my insta of me tryin to look cool (if you're into that soft of thing)

I ordered mine from Haven when it was on sale. The fees were reasonable, if I recall. I don't even wanna think about what they'd be like direct from ACR.

Hey man, nice write up. Hope you enjoying the E-J4TS ; )
