  1. Hey all,

Will be getting my flatheads repaired/reinforced at the crotch and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where to go?

I was half thinking of sending them to denim therapy in NY but yeah...

A quick search yielded two possibles:

    Dr. Do-All &

    Lonsdale Clothing operations

Any experiences or other suggestions welcome, otherwise I reckon Dr. Do-All will be the go.

  2. i read somewhere online that certain specialized carbon fiber frames were being recalled due to the aluminum separating from the carbon fiber. should i be worried about this or should i jump on that specialized immediately?

i think i heard that too, it was about the bottom bracket cups coming out or something. I don't think you need to worry, it's only an (apparent) problem for their current models and let's be honest, i don't think any of us can u put out 450 w constantly over 4 hours?

Carbon composite belt-driven bike? What the crap?

And what's up with that drop-out?

    i like it...

the drop out has to be like that, it has to have a gap, otherwise u can't get the belt on there.

    @ Atzec,

on the contrary, I think it has a lot to do with simplicity, a lot less moving parts, belt is lighter, does not require any lube, is a lot cleaner and lasts longer. The teeth mating is more efficient too apparently.

Trek is going to release an all carbon version of the district

but i guess it's up to personal preference.

On another note, I'm in for a bike and it's basically two choices:

Cervelo S1, '09 all ultegra, except the brakes which are cervelo something

    or

Trek Madone 5.1 '08 all ultegra, except the cassette, which is 105

    what u guys think?

  4. i've had mine around 3 months and had to reinforce the crotch already. The denim is beautiful as has been said and i think the detailing is great, granted i haven't had too much experience with top end stuff. The crotch thing is a little concerning however i think i should have sized the rockers true, rather than down one, my legs have gotten bigger also since i've gotten them, due to riding to work everyday.

  5. My rockers are getting destroyed in the crotch fairly quickly. Sized Down one. Kinda peeved, shoulda probably sized true or gotten heavier denim, but they are gonna break fairly soon, it's been around 2 and a half months. I may have to wash them crazy all the time, to try and soften the denim? Thoughts?

  6. I realise i'm digging up a fairly old thread but i'm heading to seattle this weekend only for the day so no time really to check out night stuff. (i've been before and done the touristy stuff) My roommate really wants to go eat at todai. Anyone been? What you reckon?

So yeah in a nutshell just going because my roommate wants to do some shopping so i decided to tag along. She really wants to go to the outlet mall just over the border but that stuff isn't really for me. So I won't have much time in downtown but I went through all the pages and it appears Blackbird is a must. I had a look at the Atsui Tokyo site and it seemed pretty good and is downtown so i'll check it out. Also Kuhlman, Ian, Polite Society. I won't have much time so what do you guys suggest? I have to go to Snowboard Connection though, gotta buy a snowboard bag so i can take it home. Does anyone know if hellers cafe is still open and if it's got some good stuff?

    Thanks.

  7. i haven't been there but i hear from everyone that Incindio's pizza is the shit. Megabit pizza is not that good imo, it's just standard pizza you have after stumbling out onto granville stret, but it is definitely not something to write home about.

As for beer, six acres in gastown has a crapload. Nice little place, problem is it gets full quickly.
