Since we are somewhat on the topic of Dark Souls.
Shame on me for not having played it yet, but I own Dark Souls (Prepare to Die Edition) for PC. I have been too scared to play it as I fear that I may break everything in my room out of frustration with the bosses, etc. I have been advised not to play it without a gamepad, as it was a terrible port. I think gamepads are for sissies as I am PC Master Race... HOWEVER... for those that have played this on the PC, what are your thoughts? I may just suck it up and buy an adapter for a gamepad, but I'd rather not.
i play with Dsfix and Dsmousefix. works pretty well. the control scheme will never be a true mouse input (kinda complicated) so yeah either you suck it up or get a gamepad. i'm enjoying it a lot with DSmfix

when you get something published or have something go your way - do you get a sense of accomplishment/achievement? it's sometimes hard to aknowledge your own successes no matter how small or big they are. if you can find a way to allow yourself to feel good about your chievements/successes then that is a huge step forward.
talking to the schools counselor might be of some help. or just talking with anyone you trust about it. sometimes we just need a reality check and we see something in a different way and it helps us feel better about ourselves.

i just said really short, really high fade. when i asked her what to ask for next time, she said zero blended to a one.
by far my favorite hair cut in years. she did a great job (crystal at victory barber in victoria bc)
if you cut it short enough, and use matte texture hair putty, you should be able to achieve the same result tbh
have you tried using baking soda/hot water instead of shampoo, and apple cider vinegar instead of conditioner? it keeps more of the natural oil in the hair, and looks way better/healthier
shampoo is full of nasty chemicals, i hate using it
^Been doing something similar, I usually shower with just water every 2nd-3rd day or so, and then shower with baking soda and vinegar maybe once every 2 weeks
i tried this and it really fucked up my scalp, like it was so itchy and painful so ymmv
i am now trying out various hand made soaps and it's all about trial and error

just started watching Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan - both really interesting in their own way. i really enjoy the animation in attack on titan. although typical anime pacing issues crop up every now and then like how all the characters emotions are overexplained again ... and again. is SAO worth watching after they finish the VR stuff and the main char is back in reality?

I'd say they're a majority. I would never take their place - imagine all the fucked up shit they hear everyday. Would you do that for money?-.....
you are not in their position, you did not choose the career they did. so why assume a point of view on their situation that is based on assumptions and is not even remotely realistic

if you don't try and find them you will be stuck with your situation. i have yet to meet professional in this field who would come across like that.

what bothers me most about it is just how short sighted the suggestion is. if we can make it through this phase we will emerge stronger than before and i truly believe that

so in other good news my girlfriends therapist suggested indirectly she would be better off without me...

basically admitted to a close friend tonight i don't know what is happiness or what it is to have fun.
so i know that depression is something to do with chemical imbalance in your system (or something like that...)
I am curious as to whether as a "healthy person" you can develop depression versus being born with it i.e. family history.
In high school i'd get super depressed because of a bad breakup, getting rejected etc. but is that really depression or just part of growing up?
today i woke up early then went back to bed till 4PM. Decide that the things I wanted to do can be postponed. On the other hand, my friend told me tonight I seem content, unmotivated...are these symptoms? I was very close to asking friend whether I am depressed but kept it to myself in the end.
I need to get that book, redX...
i can only recommend it.
what you are describing are basically textbook symtomps of depression. if you can't muster the strength to make an appointment with a doctor then ask your friend if he can help you with it. also seeing a specialist/doctor about this is a good idea because depression is a well studied illness and there are many tried and tested successfull treatment methods.

is being an asshole/hating everyone a sign of depression or am i just an asshole? (serious question)
what you describe is a bit vague, being easily irritable/short tempered/abusive emotionally or physically is definately part of the symptom pool
then again we aren't doctors and this thread isn't here to help with a diagnosis. if you really want to know you should talk to a professional

if you want to coop i recommend playing on the weekends - most people are on then. you can only invade/coop with people who are +- 10 of your current SL
if you want to get summoned in anor londo - being sl 50-70 is best. invading in blighttown (SL 30-40) in the swamp is really fun too cause there are so many terrified noobs >:]
