  1. Size for the THIGHS more than anything. The cut is REALLY narrow. My true waist is 27", and I am barely comfortable in a size 2 and my hips/thighs aren't even big. My fit pics are here, for reference:

I normally wear juniors 3-5 comfortably and a 2 in women's pants. The PBJs really didn't stretch so much around my thighs, and they took about 8 weeks to not feel totally uncomfortable.

You'll be amazed at how small these jeans are when she gets them.

  2. I'm biased towards the PBJ slims.

If it fits her body type I say definitely go for the PBJs.

    :)

They have restocked PBJ 1069s sizes through size 3 at BiG! Also they have raised their prices.

As the wearer of the PBJ slims just reposted, I'll say that after 7 weeks now, they fit much better. To the person who said my behind looks mashed and my hips stick out, that's partially because they hadn't stretched out well enough yet and partially because I have no butt and that's what it looks like from that position. I'm not as curvy as mlfo's girlfriend!

  3. Are those selvedge?

Nope, the women's line is not, post edited to say that.

the womens' line from naked and famous

WOW those are hot! Definitely putting the skinnies on the list for my next pair (and paycheck).

Advice: go for a nice milk chocolate brown belt and rock a leather jacket of the same color

Mm unfortunately I do not wear leather, I'm actually looking for a fabric belt now. I wear a red pea coat with these (still freaking cold and in the 40s in New York).

  4. PBJ 1069, Size 2, 2.5 weeks, x-posted to Raw for Women

Their denim for chicks is not slubby at all, quite smooth and soft once it's worn in. It is non-selvedge and has 5% polyurethane for stretch (although it barely stretches...not like the spandex in all the shitty jeans here that gets fucked up after a few washes). I was looking for a skin-tight, feminine fit (ie no pockets that extended past the bottom-of-the-ass crease) and I think it turned out all right. Stacking looks funky with heels, infinitely better with sneakers. So tight that I'm getting creases at the bottom of pocket linings (not a big fan of these creases, as they're curvy and not parallel to my other creases). No snide comments on the shitty, $10 vegan plastic belt, please, I'm working on it. Check it:

  5. And some denim-related questions:

Do pantylines ever cause creasing and fading? Since these are tight, my usual underwear gives nice lines. I don't like wearing thongs, any suggestions on panties?

Also, recommendations on some cool sneakers to wear with skinnies that aren't chucks or vans? Not really into those looks and flats make my feet look too long.

  6. I just bought my first pair of raw denim a few weeks ago, and got the PBJ 1069 (slims) in a size 2. I chose the PBJs because they have nice small pockets high up on the butt and don't look manly. I normally wear juniors, usually size 5 long (5'7", 115 lbs) and these were really tight. Even after wearing them hard for two weeks, I still feel restricted in my movements in the upper thighs and crotch. My butt looks mashed in them. The 5% stretch doesn't do much at all, and isn't like what we think of when we think of stretch in jeans.

Also getting leg twist. I thought it was the right leg, but then looking at them off of my body, the left leg actually twists counter-clockwise looking down at it. Also getting the seam split on the outside of the thigh, but not to a damaging extent, just spreading apart ever-so-slightly.

Besides all the negatives, they're pretty sweet looking. Nice creases and stacking. But they're really dark, all my friends say they look like black pants, and my roomie thinks I'm wearing black spandex tights every time I walk by her room.

I took the embroidered leaf off the back pocket b/c everyone was saying, "you've got something stuck to your butt", but did a crappy job of it.

Maybe some fit pics when I get some free time.

    peace
