so these few pictures are from a roll of kodak gold i found inside my xa4 when i first bought it.

the roll had been finished but was as of yet still undeveloped, don't know how long it had been sitting in there.

so anyway out of curiosity (and as practice) i went ahead and developed it.

turned out half the roll was fucked with a strong yellow cast and the other half was rather mundane family photos.

i was surprised to find the fucked up half was a series of photos taken at the birth of a child. made me wonder why the photographer didn't get them developed in the end.

didn't really like the results, i think i'll stick with rodinal.

that M.O.A fit looks a bit top heavy. pattern/colour mix is dope though, even that stripey scarf kinda works.

would be really set off with chunkier footwear/boots with maybe thicker patterned socks imo.

are MIC docs really that bad? anyway in that pic i really like the mmuted gray/purpleish colourway, but in some other pics they look too purple. overall shape i like though

nah they're not bad at all. the sole on them docs ain't no flimsy shit.

also don't see how you can compare tricker's with docs, seeing as their in completely different price ranges.... obviously tricker's is going to be better quality...

anyway I like them docs, i would insta-cop them if they came with the doc martins wedge sole. for now i'll stick with my valins as go to docs.

How often did you agitate them? Overagitation can cause grain to become a little more pronounced.

Did four turns every minute for 10.5 mins. Which was what i was told would achieve standard results.

Although thinking back i might have been a bit rough with the agitation.

Looking back now the grain isn't so bad. kinda like it as it is actually.

@ eversuns I'd go with the shadows, I like the texture of the wall.

and here was me thinking they were defects in the film.

they turned out extremely grainy and there was no definition in the dark areas (partly my fault didn't compensate for the sky)

as i'm a complete noob at this, anyone know why the grain is so pronounced?

I'm thinking it might be because i used shit film or because i didn't develop them properly?
