SL-100x sz 33, day two:

Bought them yesterday at Vater & Sohn in Hamburg. Super nice guys who know their denim, you have to drop by when you are in town.

For comparison, here are my APC New Standard sz 32 on day one:

Yeah, they stretched a bit at the thighs and waist. But not as much as I initially expected from what I've read. They're just not skin-tight anymore. I started lifting weights too, so maybe I gained a bit of size.

Also, 32 is probably the smallest I could've gone. Maybe a bit too small looking at the back pockets:

NS size 32. Same location, 10 months apart, washed every few months.

Some bulge at the knees. But then again, I haven't washed them in two or three months.

Anyway, I'd like to try a more baggy fit. Do you think Rescues would fit me? Which size?

I'm also thinking about trying another brand. Maybe the 3sixteen SL-100x (which is probably somewhere between NS and Rescue?)?

My pair will need their first wash soon. What's the best way to avoid too high contrast fades? Washing machine or soak? Woolite black or not? I wouldn't mind if they lose a lot of indigo as long as all of the denim gets lighter.

It could be like this. You normally put your wallet in front or back pocket?

Back pocket. Are you thinking about sagging?

I have yet to buy a new wallet anyway, at the moment I just carry around cards and loose cash in my pockets

kabukky i could show you my NS, now 8 months in. itll take me a few days to get hold of a camera but could get it done. unfortunately i dont think i have initial fit pics so idk if that would really satisfy your interest.

Don't go through any troubles though. I've decided to keep them and will try to post updates here.

Kabukky nice fit , there are a very small room at thigh. It will stretch for sure but won't be that baggy (from your fit pic now). love the fit.

Thanks for your opinion. I kinda like the fit too. I guess my hips are relatively wide so extra fabric around the thighs has always been a problem.

It'd be ok if the fabric stretches for a more relaxed fit, but more like this or this than this.

Also, are there any NS "day 1" to "a few months in" comparison fit pics around? Couldn't find anything but this thread is monstrous to say the least. Any links would be appreciated.

My first APCs (NS) arrived today. Thoughts?

They are a size 32.

I measured 35" around my waist and usually wear a 33 in pre washed Nudies, Levis etc. so I thought I'd go with a 32.

After a few seconds of struggle I could close the top button - it fits tightly but it isn't uncomfortable (even when sitting) and no pain like some have described in their first days :eek:

Does that mean mine will stretch out to be baggy? I wouldn't want that, especially around the thighs.

Should I return these for a 31? I certainly wouldn't be able to close the top button in those.
