  1. Anyone here washed their 4001s? I've put some decent wear on mine, but they don't show it at all. They've gotten a little big and I want to snug them up. The problem is that after the initial soak they kind of changed to a blah-ish dark gray color. I just don't want them to get more blah.

  2. Things will be much different in Denver though... Cuban won't be there unfortunately. I'd like to see how the Denver fans react to him after his little temper-tantrums. Come on Dallas, pouring beer on someones mom? That's fucking classless.

  3. That does suck that the game had to end with such a shitty no-call. But Wright definitely should have kept playing. He didn't help his case by putting up his hands in the "I didn't do anything" sort of way either. He didn't have to Derek Fisher him, he could just give him a bear hug and stop the play. It honestly looked like he was trying to draw the offensive foul and tried to go back on it when he realized how badly he fucked up.

  4. Did you take some before/after pics? I was actually thinking about dry cleaning mine. I steam cleaned them a couple of weeks ago. It helped with the stink at first, but then it came right back.

  5. Who the fuck is the woman that's announcing this game? Everything she says is completely irrelevant to what's actually happening. I think she's just reading a script.

  6. No love for the Nuggets? You guys won't be sleeping on them in the next round when they tear apart the Lakers (or Rockets?).

And I agree with most of the comments above. Ron Artest is the TO of the NBA.

  7. Are the New Cures supposed to restrict your movements slightly?

I'm asking because I altered my old NS's to look like NC's just to fuck around, but now I find it harder to say, climb stairs or bend down to pick something up.

On a new pair I'd say that they'll break in where you need them to and all of those things get easier. But since you altered an old pair I doubt there's much stretch left to them. They're going to be like that for good.

  8. I wonder if 310s have a zipper issue because zippers don't shrink with the jeans.

My 4001s have a zipper and it works fine. They shrunk a lot too after the initial soak. Once I got used to actually pressing the zipper down to make it lock, they haven't come unzipped once.

  9. No im trying to say doesnt the wash you do later on kind of kill the fade and combing and all youve been working on all this time?

If they have a lot of wear on them it a wash will enhance those things. The jeans will fade some, but there will be more contrast in those areas.

  10. anybody ever have trouble getting motor oil out of their jeans? The stains are around the cuff so they're not that noticeable but they're turning brown...

That's a tough one man. Of all the stains I've had, motor oil is the worst. I always dedicate a pair of jeans to working on my car, but I think you said you were riding, right?

    Or from google:

Heavier oil stains should be placed with the stain facing downward on absorbent paper towels, while dry-cleaning fluid is applied to the back of the stain. This should be continued for as long as the stain soils the towels (which should be replaced frequently). The fabric should then be allowed to dry naturally. It should then be washed in hot water (as hot as is safe for that particular fabric), and should be followed by a thorough rinse.

  11. I have four pairs of the ones you linked to (different colors.) Sizing is pretty true, but I've sized mine all down a half just to keep them snug. You don't want to have the laces pulled all crazy tight.

I only wear them without socks. Mine only started to get stinky after about 4-5 months of wear. Even then I have to wear them for a few hours before I notice anything. I keep meaning to look into some kind of odor neutralizer spray. I'm sure there's something that works.

And assuming you wear raw denim like most people on here, the brown is probably a better choice.

  12. I ended up needing something other than khaki because they're for a wedding. I very reluctantly went to H&M and tried a couple of theirs. To my surprise, the fit is actually really good for a clean slim fitting chino. At only $40, they might not be considered high end, but I definitely think they're worth checking out. I'll post fit pics if anyone's interested.

  13. STFU you don't know shit, if yours didn't stretch then you got some faulty product

Harsh, but yeah they do tend to stretch. Mine went from hard to button to comfortable in about two hours.

  14. So I wouldn't downsize much with the NC's? I'm about a 30, if I grabbed a 29 wouldn't that mean, due to the vanity sizing, that those would eventually stretch to a much larger size then 30?

I think some sized down NS might be more what you're looking for. The NC are pretty tapered. Also, find somewhere to try them on if you can. APCs vanity sizing is kind of screwey since the different cuts seem to be sized differently.

  15. When I had my FH 4001s altered I asked Kiya for the cutoff denim, he said sure but explicitly said not to use them for repairs. I didn't get a chance to ask, what's the reasoning for this?
