  1. Looking to buy dior denim in a size 29, 17.5cm cut. I'm open to most washes although I'm not really interested in anything with a waxed coating. Also, I'd prefer something from the '07 or '09 years, but I'm not too particular on that point. Looking for a skinny fit, so I need the hem to be between 6.25in and 6.5in. I could push it to 6.75in depending on the other measurements and how much I like the wash.

If anyone has something they're looking to sell that fits in with the above, let me know!

  2. didn't realize that the 17.5cm jakes on lvr weren't available yet, which took the wind out of my sails a little bit. went ahead and placed a pre-order though, so hopefully they'll be on time once the store gets them march 31st.

  3. yeah, they were just baggier than i wanted them, you know? if i'm going to spend that kind of coin on a pair of jeans, i damn well better love them. and with those, the fit was just off. decided not to size up to a 29 based on the feedback of these being a bit larger in the waist, so we'll see how it works out.

  4. just when i'd made my mind up about trading them in for a pair of 17.5cm... you guys are killing me, haha.

i still think i'm going to send them back to lvr and try the 17s though. i was going for the skinnier fit and even though i don't mind the fit of the 19s, it's a fuckload to spend when it's not what i was looking for. unfortunately the 17s are a little more expensive, but thankfully not by much.

  5. it's a very subtle and odd thing, but yeah, when i try them on, it almost appears as if below the knee they widen a bit from the thigh size. laying them flat on the floor i couldn't tell a difference so this might just be an odd fit issue since these are too baggy in that area for me.

  6. I've got the 19cm jakes and I would say be careful when sizing them. The waist is a bit larger than your average 19cm in that size but the thighs are quite tight. In my opinion go with your true size if your thighs are average. I actually just got back from vegas about a month ago and I also stayed at the vdara (definitely the best hotel i've been to in vegas, make sure to go to the aria buffet). The dior in citycenter has a lot more in stock than the wynn and I'm pretty sure that they had 19cm jakes, I know the wynn didn't have them. Also when I was there I was talking to the salesman, and they have this new raw pair that is a 19cm and 17.5cm hybrid. They have the fit of the 19cm for the top block and 17.5cm for the leg and for only 360$, I didn;t check if they were mij or mii but the pockets led me to believe that they were mij.

i agree with this. the waist is a little larger than i anticipated but the thigh was definitely tighter than the waist would lead you to believe. then below the knee it seems to widen out again. it's a strange fit. i'm giving serious thought to trading in the 19cm for the 17.5cm, of course then it's a matter of staying with the 28 or going up to a 29.

  7. i posted fit pics on the previous page of 19cm 28 jakes that i just got in from lvr. trying to decide what i think of the fit, but you should have a look if you're debating. the pics aren't the greatest quality but it should give you an idea.
