  1. For sale is a gently worn pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile boots in Brown. I've worn them roughly five times since I acquired them. They are wonderfully crafted boots and super comfy from the start - just didn't fit my style. I'm selling these for $250 shipped CONUS. Paypal only. PM if interested and thanks for looking. More pictures available upon request.

  2. Yes, "wedge sole" is a larger term usually, which just indicates that the sole is one solid piece that is thicker at the heel than the toe. Meaning: there is no separate "heel" but the heel is still taller.

However this also means that you could conceivably have a plantation crepe wedge sole... but I've never seen one.

    Wallabees?

  3. No maker's stamps/tags on this pair, but they certainly resemble the classic Red Wing 1905 work boots. Circa late 1950s - 60s vintage, and made from top grain oiled leather, with a crepe sole. Triple-needle stitching throughout and genuine GoodYear Welt construction. Actual outsole measures right around 11 3/4" and the widest forefoot is 4 1/4". Overall height is 6 1/2".

    Looking for $40 shipped CONUS.

    PM me if interested.

  4. I just won these boots via ebay and I have a question. These are Goodyear welted, would I be able to take them to a cobbler that is a certified Vibram repairman and have the Vibram crepe soles that are on Red Wings put on? How does that work? Does the cobbler have a catalog to pick through or can I just tell him the model number of the sole (does anyone know this?)? Thanks in advance.
