  1. The Burfords were a bargain and a half, and the seller also had a pair of (I think) Stow which I got for the same price - just waiting on delivery of those - no way was I missing out on a couple of pairs of T's for £180 in total...

Are you keeping the name of the seller to yourself? :)

  2. Picking up a pair of 47's offline for the old price today for future use, then I'm done with LVC for good. The new prices are ridiculous!

I wish I had got a few more pairs of 55's while they were on sale. I am never buying a pair of LVC again by the looks of it. They aint worth £215 that's for sure.

  3. So here are your options for the S510XX

    from light to heavy:

on the bottom is always a measurement chart. But don't trust them too much.

With Samurai, sizing is always a question of your choice of denim.

They are all slightly different in regard of shrinking, stretching and what the waist measures raw. Even sometimes different between the Lots (year of production).

So first choose your denim and than it's easier to help.

Thank you so much for posting that.

I think the s510xx 19oz are the ones for me.

    What do you think?

  4. The S510 is more a '55 than a '47. They have certainly more room in the thighs than a '47.

What measures your 1955 in the waist?

Yeah it's more room in the thighs that I need. My '55's are measuring 35" in the waist after a couple of washes.

  5. I was thinking of buying my first pair of Samurais. I was considering the S0510XX because on the first page they are described as a "relaxed" fit. But have searched through some of the thread and have noticed people calling them a '47 type fit. I've had 1947 LVC and they certainly weren't relaxed. My perfect fit seems to be 36x34 1955 LVC. Any suggestions as to what Samurai cut I should go for?

    Thanks.

  6. "The item you have ordered are currently out of stock. This is due to a mistake on our part as any item that shows a QTY on our site should be in stock.

Youre card has been refunded in full."

Have to say I'm totally unimpressed. I may be being unfair here but I don't care, this has really annoyed me!

That's a nightmare. I've ordered from them before without a problem, but when that sort of thing happens it's a kick in the baws.

  7. All my first post! Been reading the forum for a few weeks and finally had my account authorised. You all know your stuff and gained some fascinating insight on LVC denim which I've been a fan of since 06.

I've bought my jeans from most UK sites and from Cultizm, but never tried aeroleather, as they don't seam to have much stock on their webpage, is it best to phone them?

I emailed Aeroleather a few weeks ago and they said they are getting more LVC stock in August.

If you phone them give us an update please.

  8. Bit of a strange query here. Do they sell LVC in Malaysia? Reason I ask is that I was recently selling a pair of 1947's and a pair of 1955's on ebay uk. Just about every question I received about them was from Malaysia, oh and a few questions from Thailand too.

  9. I'm trying to source some 2010 1944 501's in 36x34. Normally I'd buy from Cultizm but they don't seem to have that size. Have tried endclothing, aeroleather, Hanon, oki-ni. Any other suggestions? I'm in the UK.

    Cheers.

  10. they have some larger sizes in the USMC boondockers rough out boots.

    http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/usmcfield.html

scroll down to the bottom. they're $150

I will vouch for their service and the quality of their product.

I don't know how they compare quality wise with wwiiimpresions, but I bought a pair of roughouts from what price glory http://onlinemilitaria.net/shopexd.asp?id=667&bc=no applied sno-seal and am very happy with them.

  11. I purchased the 1915's from oki-ni, decided to wear them today. I snipped the buckle on the cinch, and wtf? what a piece of crap. I'd seen posts about the quality of the buckle but never really took much notice. It really is poor quality. Any suggestions as to how to make it a bit more secure? It feels like it could just fall apart at any time.

  12. Just received my 55's from cultizm. Does anybody know what year/season they are? The reason I ask is that the 55's I bought earlier this year did not have the made in USA tag on them, and they never came with the book. Here's some pics.

  13. I would wait until I actually received the jeans and attempted to work out any problems with Cultizm before I came on here and bashed them. Just a suggestion. They've always been really helpful with me in the past.

I know there seems to be a "love in" with cultizm on here so I wasn't bashing them. Was just pointing out that when I ordered it said all sizes measured 2" larger. Now it no longer says that. So because of that the jeans I ordered might not fit. I just wish that the site had the correct information when I clicked buy.

  14. When I made my order on Sunday from cultizm there was a note on the 1955 page saying that all jeans measure 2" larger than tag. That's the reason I went for a 34". Just went back to the website and the note is no longer there. So I assume these rather expensive jeans are not going to fit.

    Thanks a lot cultizm.
