is this a decent fit? i forgot how stiff raw denim is new and i don't remember if it should be this tight in the knee... can't bend it all the way to sit yet.

I think it's obviuos that they're too tight, unless you plan not to ever wash them, which is crazy.

I think they're way too tight. Maybe size up?

Good link! Now I kind of know what my pair will look like later on... Personally not a big fan of the light blue but I bought what fit me when I visited Take5 Shanghai in october. And it's nice to have different shades of blue to choose frome in a wardrobe I guess.

I'm one of those who haven't contributed that much. Because of the fit they didn't become an everyday wear, plus I don't seem to find the time to take pics of my jeans that much these days. (Still a denimhead though, wearing a new pair of Warehouse 1001XX right now). That said, I will now post in the pinned contest picture thread. They will look dark as hell next to the others though.

It has been said, but still: Cool to see pics with Mizanation (I liked the others too Shangers!). His epic Double Volante thread "So, I'm having a pair of jeans made..." is what took my knowledge and denim interest to the next level.

Really, really cool reading about the people and machines behind these special jeans! As for some other followers the thighs are too slim for me. (At least I think so, will do some more measuring and thinking...)

i'm with you. tired of the look, plus they don't even fit my thighs. bom003 in above mentioned cut would be my choice. if momotaro, or any other premium label, did something like that i would buy in an instant. just waiting for a reason to get a pair of momotaros here...

How I love my Fullcounts

I'm so frustrated right now. Absolutely in love with the Self Edge x Iron Heart x Leather Soul super dark jeans, but after comparing the measurements of my Eternall 811 I've come to the conclusion that they don't fit me (too tight/slim fit).

Any suggestions for a very, very dark (indigo) straight fit pair, preferably with roomier thighs than 811?

I had almost decided to buy a pair of Samurai S510XX 21 OZ because I wanted to try something new (really heavy that is), but now I dont know how much I would wear them. A different colour would probably be more interesting in terms of broadening my wardrobe.

So then I thought about something double dyed, like Momotaro ER007 and PBJ xx-009 (I dont like the look of faded black denim). But those cuts are too tight in the thighs for me.

Question:

Is there/has there been a looser straight cut with denim like those I've mentioned?

Isn't this what happens with cotton thread construction and a somewhat slim fitting pair of jeans? I've fixed the seams where I cuff and a couple of stiches in the crotch, all else is fine. With that said, haven't worn them that hard. Morse worked his ass off in his if I remember correctly.

Haven't worn them much this summer but now it's everyday...
