  1. Hmm, tough one. I know it's a different brand, but I have several Gitman Vintage oxfords, and the quality is head and shoulders above. The cut and fit is better, and the quality of the fabric is excellent. I have no idea why, but Uniqlo shirts seem incredibly susceptible to deodorant stains after a couple of months. I have Gitman shirts that are 2 years old and still look brand new. I have bought and binned 3 blue Uniqlo oxfords in the last couple of years.

Have to disagree. Bought a Gitman based on the hype (pattern was pretty nice as well). But the cut was crap. Body was slim and nice, but the arm holes weren't cut high at all. The whole shirt pulls when I lift my arm. I imagine the style is suited for those with athletic bodies compared to thin ones. Fabric is alright though.

  2. go vintage

    think eBay

old made in PA hamiltons are great

    and old omega geneve

    or gruen

    elgin

    etc

Thanks for the suggestions. Have been scoping ebay recently for old omega geneves but will have a proper search after exams.

Quoting this again because that is a great looking watch.

How much money can you spend? Real gold watches ain't cheap, man.

Doesn't have to be real gold. I'm attracted to the colour combination (gold/white face) rather than the status symbol of having a "gold" watch.

Looking to spend around the 500 mark though.

  3. Can someone suggest some brands which make watches which suit those with girly wrists? I'm looking for a clean dress watch, nothing fancy. Atm, I'm imagining something with a gold bezel and white face.

  4. quick search on google has some sites mentioning annual revenue of 37 million per year. Apparently Myer has said that growth has been 50% for the past two years.

But as Swooc mentioned, most of its value may be due to the brand name itself.

  5. Isnt zara coming here?

I got some work stuff from zara in hk last time i was there. Its lasted alright. Although most people say quality/materials isnt that great.

Dont think id get shoes though...

Thanks for the infos. I have a feeling that zara prices like everything else here will be inflated as fuck.

  6. these are the courses I've passed recently:

intro macroeconomics: 80.2%, intro information comp sci: 87.7%

intro commercial law: 73.85%, intro marketing: 88%

    (not too bad right???)

Where I'm from, that's 2 High Distinctions, 1 Distinction and 1 Credit. Not too shabby at all.

  7. Recommendations for hair products which would be suitable for really fine, curly/wavy hair just to make my hair look neater? Something which doesn't weigh my hair down making it look flat and shit would be great. For reference, I use American Crew Forming Cream atm.

  8. but let me break it down: israel is attacking hamas targets, hamas people, hamas gunmen, hamas rocket squads, hamas hamas hamas. meanwhile, hamas is attacking ANY israeli it can get its hands on, and it prefers civilians because mass panic and fear within the entire country, not just the military, is good for them. we're talking about the same hamas that was behind hundreds of suicide bombings of civilian targets in the past two intifadas. who is the fucking bully? the israeli government, that is trying to protect its citizens, and by doing so, has to fire at the enemies who are hiding in the middle of cities? or is it hamas, the group that targets citizens and doesn't give a fuck about their own as long as there are enough to serve as human shields? and as for the ceasefire, you can't gloss over the fact that rockets were still being fired from gaza on a regular basis.

So basically what you are saying is that you don't really care how many civilians die and as long as you are aiming for militants everything is fine and dandy.

    Fuck you.
