The Cheaney Cairngorm on the same website though on the same last, looks much bulkier and almost square toed. Pics definitely can be misleading.
CTB, Question about the zug grain, how supple is it? Sure it looks sturdy and needs breaking in, but seems like it never really gives in...

since the Velts got some attention in this thread, Pebble grain has been on my wishlist.
Some nice ones found in there:
Also includes some samples of Cheaney Velts. This might shed some light on who builts what...

MrB - Careful, I have normal arches and when I first got my Whites I took them on a one month working trip and thought I had broken my feet! It felt like I was walking on the edge of a curb all day. It took the majority of the whole trip before I got used to it. I almost tossed them out a window.
Six years, one rebuild and one resole later, I still love them...
Thanks dave, I believe breaking in (the insole sits in) and habit makes it worth.
White's high arch comfort is not much being discussed here, any other opinion around? Again a comparison with wescos regular shank seems relevant.

First post of a long time lurker.
I plan on ordering some semi dress, and was wondering about the "high arch" design.
I have fallen arches which are no prob with my Wescos. Some of you own both brands, your opinion would be appreciated.
Regarding sizing this page has always been helpful:

What does NexusVII brings into this "collab"?
I know: its that special guy with the plyers that tacks the metal tags onto the custom semi-dress boots ordered at Bakers'...
Well worth the $900 markup...
