@ gmas
the point of raw denim is the indigo loss. so if you don't want your jeans to fade, don't get raw denim. the amount of effort to re-dye a tiny part of your jeans is not worth the reward, or the potential for fuckedupedness.

i have seen those in person, and i wouldn't call the fading subtle.
whatever, +rep
edit: get a shot of the stacking if you can.

^ but then you would see all the creepy crawlies on your jeans, and then in revulsion wash them- and that would not do at all.
ps. what brand are the selvage chino's?

who thought it was a good idea to have bright white chunky looking stitching. not to mention the terrible faux-wear and cross / skull / other tired out meaningless imagery.
what is the name of that brand? those are truly hideous, worse than true religion. (and probs cost as much or more)

i gotta walk by that store every day on my way home.
at least the company is smart enough to change the pictures every couple of weeks.

Its all about the kids sizes yo. i think size 16 is around a M kids and hopefully they will fit right after you stretch em, just dont get the ones with the firetrucks stitched into the pockets- the denim is low quality.

@ kesnel :
i would say, just from my personal taste, that the leg breaks a little to much. Ideally, i would have the break only go partway around: as in the break would happen in the front were the shoe and top of foot are but not in the back with heal.
that said: it looks fine, unless it really cheap to get them re tailored, don't waste your time / money

a good XKCD comic.
[musing]
reading a comic regularly gives you a nice something to look forward to each day, its really quite nice sometimes to know there is at least one lighthearted thing in your routine.

casual mostly, and by mostly i mean entirely, but i would love to get involed in standard and extended.
local metagame is the kids at school with me, no its not very large - but quite diverse, i play a new deck everyday. my friends and i just started playing magic again after quite a hiatus- something to do with senior year highschool, go figure.
i would love to share some decklists, but i am not able to at this moment. so when i am able to i will.
if anyone knows of a good place to play magic in manhattan that would be great, neutral ground shut down and i don't know were to go.

you might want to black out / delete photo of the call of duty stuff. CD key is readable in the pic.

Cotton duck did some cool mods to his mister freedom jeans. check that thread. there are some other small things done by people scattered about the threads. But most people tend to modify their jeans after some wear- for example when my jeans got a hole in the back pocket i put a leather patch over the hole. form is defined by function, function comes from wear.
just my two cents
as for the cinch- good luck! post pics when your done.

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)

here is my question:
i am looking for work pants that are nice, preferably in a brown / tan like chinos, but made of a sturdier material (denim, cotton twill, or just heavy weight). extra pockets would be a plus, but they have to be worn with a dress shirt and tie.
the best contender i have found would be this or this.
I am trying to find these for my uncle who is a piano tuner by trade and is looking for a better work look. he would like to synthesis standard dress clothing like a shirt and tie (i suggested more casual wool & cotton ties) with more dressed down elements, namely work pants and causal leather shoes or boot . he likes the idea of "20's and 30's work wear, when clothing was still well made a tailored" but of the blue color variety i think.
any other leads on pants, or general suggestions would be great.
