  1. Nice bikes dude.

Thanks man, it's a disease. Speaking of which, I'm trying some hotter plugs in in the 160 for the cooler fall weather. Just burnt the piss outta my right hand trying cop of feel of the exhaust. Why I even tried that, I don't know.

I need to keep up with this thread more often. Looks like I missed out on some great (funny) stuff!

  2. Haven't checked into this thread in a while. Here's what I've been up to:

Started on this one about 2 years ago, just wrapping up.

    Went from this:

Now working on this as a daily rider:

  3. I came across this link and thought it'd fit here. It's a short film about some dude riding a Triumph (exact model anyone ?) and breaking down. Soundtrack is by The Jesus and Mary Chain.

    http://vimeo.com/19968890

The bike's a Triumph Trailblazer (250cc thumper). They were a bit of an attempt at an early dual-sport/enduro bike. Think Honda SL250.

Nice little film, thanks for sharing!

  4. Glad to see this thread is keeping up on the first page.

I'm not super knowledgeable in military field jackets but I'd like to pick one up. I think the model I'm after is an M-65 with tiger camo (someone correct me if I'm wrong with the spec on that).

Any thoughts if this would be something that is still in production or am I best trolling eBay/vintage stores?

    Example grabbed from google images:

  5. I currently have a pair of 710's that I love. I had them slightly tapered and hemmed to my liking but would also like a pair of stock 710's to wear.

My current pair are "Lot 10" that have fit great since my first hot soak. Their waist is tagged @ 33 and I'd like to replicate this with a Lot 13 pair.

Any thoughts on sizing differences between this earlier lot and the current?

  6. Some great talk in here! I'm about 3 weeks into a CB160 project:

After bringing her home and a wash:

Had to free (beat out) the pistons that were seized in their bores. Engine is about to be dropped off to have the bores cleaned up.

How it looked about 2 days ago:

  7. Why? Because you could secretly be working for Levi's, or a Levi executive could be lurking around the store. He'd see Gordon working on a tabbed/arcutate pair and then he'd get a subpoena.

There are ton's of places to get them hemmed. The quality of work might not be great however.....

I don't think Self Edge would do it either, but you could always ask Kiya.

I was hoping BiG would hem them because I've heard they do a great job. Just sent an email to Self Edge to see what they might be able to do.

    Thanks for the reply.

  8. I just purchased a pair of 710's from a member in the Supermarket. I've contacted Blue in Green about having them hemmed but Gordon has stated that if they have tabs and/or acurate stitching on the back pockets they cannot work on them.

Any suggestions why or where else to send them? Selfedge?
