washed them: wore them into the bathtub. warm water. soap, detergent, rinsed, wore them for about 2 hours, then let them hang outside , then wore them more, slept in them for a day.

    end result:

Started wearing in march. washed once at six months (smelled too much and filthy from workin on car / transmisison swap0

finally washed again after way too much welding and grinding.

  2. yeah i agree. You gotta realize, i work in the shop every day with these. they are my work jeans. I'm welding / grinding / cutting / sanding / working with composites, and all that crap, not to mention grease, oil, etc etc. :( they truly are getting their work on. What's pretty badass is they are outlasting all my friends jeans (who also work on the cars in their jeans as well. something can be said about a heavy pair of levi's. i'd love to get a pair of iron heart next.

  3. that's what i'm trying to find out. either way i feel like they are being fraudulent to their own employees, by letting them think that kind of cut and fade is representative of a 501. Don't get me wrong, 47's do make a semi decent attempt, but the fading properties of flathead are a completely different realm. oh and there's this thing called the fit... yeah.. about that.

  4. Choosing between these after doing some research:

    jean shop classic fit

    DH 21 cm/19 cm

    SEXI 04

    5EP

i want a slim but not skinny fit, and i'd prefer the one that holds up the longest before starting to fade. I'm looking for something a bit more tapered than APC NS, and not extremely tight with barely any leg opening ( like thin finns- i dont want something that slender). thanks in advance. edit: another plus is something with decently sized pockets, i hate not being able to use my pockets except for tiny stuff

if your denim collection and wardrobe permits, going to a black denim will really hold up the longest before fading. my evisu's are like that, at least. they're like, un scratchable. But i'm sure you already knew that -- someone like me would manage to forget somehow, howeverrrr
