  1. what kind of boots are those?

Justin Work Boots. I love them. They are so comfortable and very good quality. Got them for 68 bucks shipped from sears. I work there. Normally 90 bucks. I was going to put the link up from sears.com but the site is on maintenance but you can go to www.justinworkboots.com and they are style: WK908

encourage these if your looking for a solid pair of boots.

  2. I really enjoy mine but like i've said before to say these are as good of quality as Flat Head's or Sami's imo would just be ignorant.

I got fit pics with my new boots i might throw them up in a second.

  3. yeah i'm just saying facts prove points, and no one has either

6 months wearing everyday is significant though

I think there are plenty of facts that the denim quality is definitely different. You get facts when you have hands on use and i've had hands on use and it's without a doubt different. But i mean if you want to say n&f is as good as sami's or something of that quality without knowing a ton of facts well that's fine. But i think there is probably a reason they don't have all the facts out on these like they do on the real quality stuff...but we will agree to disagree.

  4. isn't the point of buying raw the fact they're "over dyed" as opposed to washed? the deeper the dye the more noticeable the wear will be when you eventually wash them out, it just means you'll likely have to wear them a while longer than normal, i'm aiming for 6 months personally

what's legit japanese quality? they purchase all their denim material from japan, unless you know where they and everyone else purchases their material you can't really say what's legit. all i know is that the stuff N&F uses is tough as hell

I'm not going to argue but i will say they can have to much indigo from the dying process and take forever to fade and other things because of it. Also it would be completely and totally ignorant to say the japanese denim on a pair of N&F vs a pair of Flat Heads or Sugarcanes or another Japanese denim company has the same quality of denim that would just be foolish. If you disagree that's fine but i would say that's just ignorance when it comes to this.

btw wearing a pair of 6 months isn't a long time...

  5. does "legit japanese quality" mean denim that starts fading really quickly? i'm a noob so i'm just curious. i never really equated quality with how quickly the fabric should fade.

Sometimes they will fade faster. Like Flat Heads your supposed to see vertical fading in 20 wears (according to selfedge). There is definitely a difference in quality in the denim. Just the dying process and the thought in all honesty. I owed a pair of Dry Bones and they were nice and faded really well...washed them shrank to much...can't wear them. (which reminds me i was thinking about selling them for like 40 bucks) But without a doubt there actually is quite a bit of a difference in quality but you pay to get. I mean also some good Japanese usually doesn't come from Canada (Not that it couldn't) If this is your first pair then i would say you got a good first pair but if you like this whole deal then check out some stuff on selfedge and BIG. Only reason i'm wearing these is because i did get them for 90 bucks. Got lucky.

I was in Chicago not even shopping for me and i came across them at barneys going out so i couldn't decline.

I also have a pair of Jean Shops that are really nice and coming along well.

one more thing if anyone is interested in some Dry Bones Red D Slim's for 40 bucks shipped (US) hit me up...i'll take pictures...about 3 months of wear and a wash...some fading started but still has a lot left.

  6. That link didn't work Jay...

I have to agree with someone earlier saying these jeans are over dyed (in my case the deep indigo weird guys) but I don't expect to spend 90 bucks and get legit Japanese quality. I do think I could get some sweet jeans out of this with some good wear though. Only time will tell.

btw got some new boots in the mail today and i love the look.

  7. yeah. they will be stiff as crap still you don't need to worry about that. They might even be more stiff as long as you hang dry. If you want to soak or wash. I'm not going to. I'm going to get a few months of wear and then probably a wash. Not washing is not as big of a deal as people make it seem. You see old dudes that wash their levi's all the time and their jeans look sick. Just do what you want...having them touch water isn't a big deal like everyone makes it seem...nudies.

  8. I really like mine. They fit perfect for a slimmer fit but not to tight. I think they will do pretty good. I feel like they have a ton of excess indigo because i just wear them with vans and my socks go blue in a day which is just ridiculous. But, as far as apc's vs. these i think your probably glad you went with these. I haven't ever had any but i don't like apc's if i'm going to spend some legit money on some jeans i'm going japanese (I only spent 90 on these) and i would encourage you after your done with these to not go with apc...if your going to spend the money just get real good quality with some real japanese. But yeah i'm excited to wear these.

I think there aren't many pictures because people start to wear them and then they buy some sami's or something with higher quality and quit wearing them. But i'm going to be wearing them for awhile along with my jean shops.

  9. This is pretty sweet. It seems like quite a few people are going to be wearing these deep indigo's. I'm wearing mine and a few others...We gotta sick with it and not get other stuff and see how they come out. Seeing like no one has worn these out or hasn't shown anyways.

  10. hey guys, i was wearing mine for awhile now, it stretched quite a lot, i got some pretty good fades coming in and i was wondering if i should give it a quick soak in hot water to shrink it. or should i just wear it for another month or two?

I would say keep wearing them for a little while but do what you want. Throw some pics up man.

  11. david how much do you wash your jeans? have you washed those? i'm just amazed by the fades you have going on in a month when i'm wearing my dry bones probably for a little over 2 and got nothing like that. just wondering how you got that going on in a month. in other words i'm jealous.

  12. ^^^

So I was in Chicago today...wearing my dry bones...then go to barneys with some friends...stumble across these deep indigo selvedge n&f....gotta admit i always thought n&f would be a crappy brand...

put them on because they were on sale for 89$...blown away by how great they felt...the denim is sick and they are just so stiff and solid...i'm excited...

got my mommy to get me them for a christmas present booo yaaa!

didn't need em...had to have them opps!
