  1. Cheers,

I want to sell a pair of Dean 54s from Swear London. They were bought last autumn from swear-london.com but they are a bit too narrow for me so they were collecting dust for some time now. They are a UK10, US11 or EUR44. They are in excellent condition, were only worn 3 or 4 times and were well looked after with regular shoe polish treatment.

I'm asking for 40 Euro shipped to Europe (insured), 45 Euro shipped to the US (insured). Payment via Paypal.

Euro is low at the moment so buy buy buy ;)

  2. Hello,

I hope such a thread wasn't here before, I read through the stickies but I only found information on how to age blue denim jeans.

Now I have here a Joey Hi-Standard from April 77, and it's made from a 98% cotton 2% spandex twill.

Detail pic of the garment, a bit bright, but you get the idea:

Now I washed it about 10 times with a detergent for black clothes. They are still very black.

What I want to acchieve is a vintage look like the new Hi-Standard Fight from the Records collection:

Or the look of the Hells Bells Royal Retro:

So what advise do you have? Should I use bleach or something or will this make them overall grey?

Any comments are much appreciated, thanks.

  3. The sizing issues on April 77s is ten time worse if you can't try them on in person.

I wouldn't say that. I have four Aprils, all in 30" and the fit is almost the same, and then two Hells Bells, one in 30" and one in 31" as I couldn't get the 30" one over my knees. There might be issues with the waists on a particulary batch of Colordrives, but mine is fine. Heard also things about the new collection, but on April77.fr they said they didn't change the Joeys. Some of the new model might run a bit different and tighter in the legs though.

On the other hand, I had my Cheap Mondays in 27/32 (was also as long as a 34), 29/32, 30/32 and 32/32 to get a skin tight fit.

So if I buy a Joey online and choose a 30" one, there are good chances that they will look good, while Cheap Monday is a total gamble.

  4. Personally, I'm done with Cheap Monday. The cut and fits on the Tights vary so much between each model, it makes online shopping gruesome. And most of the zippers can't really be closed or open by themselves if you wear them tight.

I have/had 5 different ones. Let's see: the grey 45 min stonewashed one is quite nice, but after about 9 months the seam on the right leg starts to rip. The blue Very Stretch looses color very fast and drybleeds as hell, making it impossible to wear white tees or sneakers before you washed it like 10 times. The Black OD has an awkward skater fit and stretches very much in the knees, the blue raw ones of my buddy had a back pocket ripped off after two months of occasional wearing and the brown 5 pkt Prest was totally twisted after I washed it.

I'm going totally for April 77s Joeys and Hells Bells Gibus now. More expensive yes, but quality. Hadn't had a problem with those so far.

  5. The waist on my April colordrives is massive. With a belt tightened up, the crotch area starts to droop from all the excess fabric. I want to get an inch taken off the waist, will a tailor be able to do this?

Buying another size is not an option because then I will not be able to feel my legs.

On the other hand, I recently bought a grey Colordrive (old April tag) and it ran as A77 usually runs. My balls liked the looser waist but I guess it's gamble which batch you get.

  6. Hey guys, no buy it now option here. I don't like ending auctions as it is against the spirit of ebay. And apart from that I don't know how much I should take for the pieces and whom I should give them to, as there are several people interested in the same stuff.

Just have a bid on them, let ebay do the work and probably make a bargain. Auctions are ending sunday (think about the time shift -6 to 9 hours in the US).

  7. Hello,

as I know that some people here are into H&M coats and jackets: I have some stuff from my wardrobe on ebay germany. The auction says shipping is only to Germany and Europe, but I'm going to make an exception for sufu users.

Euro to Dollar is hefty but I don't expect this stuff to go too high, so you can still make a fair deal here I think. Most of the stuff has only been worn a handful of times or is as new.

    There are my auctions: http://shop.ebay.de/merchant/der_stahly

Have a look what you can get out of the auction descriptions with google translate and if you're interested in a piece write me and I'll tell you all that you want to know.

    Shipping is:

Germany - as described in the auctions

Europe - Shirts and Knitwear 4,80 €, Pants and Pea Coat 6,30 Euro (+3,05 Euro insured), Jackets 8,90 Euro (17 Euro insured)

Overseas - Shirts and Knitwear 8,30 €, Pants and Pea Coat 12,30 Euro (+3,05 Euro insured), Jackets 13,20 Euro (32 Euro insured).

    Paypal for international customers.

where do i find a coat like the one that is 2nd from the right?

the question is more, what are these shoes the guy in the middle is wearing? Plimsoll-like white contrast stripe, but on a heeled high-top. Me likes.

  9. No, as I work at H&M as a help at the moment I can say that this is a new label. It is meant to be similar to the Hennes Trend collection, which is for women.

There is a quadratic purple tag attached on the garment and a white size tag on which there is the word TREND in the left corner.

Don't be fooled by the five pieces on the picture. There is some really "crazy" stuff that I haven't seen in a high street shop before. The inspiration is directly drawn from the catwalks.

  10. Starting this week, H&M will sell a new instore label: Men Trend.

Here in Germany this is only sold in only a handful shops in Hamburg, Berlin and Germany. Don't know how to get it overseas but considering Germany is H&M secon biggest market, only the biggest stores in every country will get it.

It's a bit more expensive but the pieces are also made of more special garments.

The colors of the collection are off-white, much black and grey, and some accents with bright orange and medium blue. I've seen a lot of crazy stuff like a semi-transparent longesleeve tee with thumbholes that goes down to the knees, wooly jumpers with a really big scoop neck, a smart black overall, several slim-fitting shirts made of polyester, shirts with a tone in tone contrast stripe running on the sides, a nylon west that goes down to the knees, some tees, jumpers and cardigans with cool geometrical shapes and a boxy black tee with a big zipper cangaroo pocket all over the chest.

Some of the more conservative pieces are in the German online shop: http://shop.hm.com/de/?action=viewcamp&campaign=676_MAN&dept=HERR_SEN_TREND

The tee on the right is very nice, it is actually not printed but different pieces of garment sawn together. It's also avaiable in off-white, black and I think dark grey. Would've copped it but unfortunately S was a bit too wide on the shoulders...

All in all, there are really crazy pieces in the collection and it breathes a lot of that Dior Homme high fashion. However I don't think that many of the usual H&M buyers will have the heart for it and in some months the things will be on sale and the brand dead.
