  1. thanks, crownzip. I washed my pair 3 times if i remember correctly, first initial hot wash is to shrink them down, I think that's what makes the patch shrunk. And another 2 wash along the way.

How about some pics of your Lee, crownzip? I reckon they look nice in your last post wearing them :)

  2. reviving the thread

a pair of Real McCoy's 613a worn about 1+ year when I'm still in my 30 waist, sadly this shit doesn't fit anymore. too many washes I can't remember

not much going on yet compared to CTB and crownzip's Lee, but some blues and bit of greencaste already peeking through. Looking forward to how they evolve, currently my favourite pair of jeans

  4. ^ thanks, snake. They cost me around 28k yen incl. shipping to Asia. Pretty steep I must say, but the outcome is worth the $$$.

Their salt pepper fabric is pretty cool, if i can source some more $ I'd be all over it. You can always ask them send some swatches for jacket, just to be more sure at your choices

Here's the new button option they sent me

  5. made a jacket through ooe using their #58 fabric which is a really nice indigo herringbone fabric. I was contemplating of using this fabric or their indigo salt pepper stripe fabric which resembles stifel's salt pepper fabric. This one turns out really nice to be made as a jacket, the weight is light but still got a bit ruggedness for this style of a jacket.

in the last minute, they offer me to use one of their new button, pretty cool railroader style button

This is a size 38, fit a bit snug and on the slim side for a work style jacket, but I think it fits me well. I suggest sizing up for those who have bigger build.

  6. Nice fit on the shirt, rnr. I love this wabash fabric as well. How it is compared to your freewheelers wabash?

How do you feel about the length of the shirt? I feel it a lil bit too short to tuck in, but in the other hand it looks better untucked than the polkadot, which is a bit longer.

  7. drz, are those prototypes? If not when were those sold? I love the split back and I wouldn't worry about those threads being loose at the split back, it looks like whoever made them bartacked right there as well.

It does look like the thread tension may not have been set correctly for some of the sewing. The top thread looks like orange, is the bottom thread white? It looks like some of it is peeking through on the cinch and some portions of the waistband.

Overall, very beautiful pair of pants and I would buy them if I knew how to get them.

I think these pair is a leftover from his previous production. I saw these pair on his blog, I think this post http://eworkers.blogspot.com/2011/01/store-open.html (bottom pics) and asked Takashi about that pair and he said that he still got some stock. You should try to ask him about this, maybe there are more stocks lying around in his retail store.

And for the thread, he use white thread for the bottom thread only on the chainstitched part like the seam, hem and yoke. The white thing that you saw peeking in the waistband is the fiber popping out.

I would check the dimensions very carefully when buying any e-workers pants. The rise on these looks really low to me. I bought a pair of e-workers khakis. Everything about them--the fabric, the construction, etc.--is great. But they have a very small rise and are way too tight through the crotch, so I don't wear them very often. The only way to make them comfortable is to make them sit on my hips and then they feel like they will fall off.

yeah, these pair makes me confused as well. He said he only got size 36 left and I gamble with it since the size chart state that after wash they will shrink to 34 in waist and hoping I can shrink them more to somewhere in 33. But apparently the pair that I got measured 82cm/ approx 32 inch in the waist after wash.

  8. reviving the ducks

just got this from mr. Tateno

size 36, but the actual waist is almost 32-33, weird sizing. At first I was afraid these would be too big for me, but apparently they fit fine after a wash.

the only thing that looks flawed is the stitching in the center of the buckleback. There are fibers popping out everywhere. There is some explanation on his website, but I don't understand clearly, maybe it's because of the nature of the fabric and the stitch.

fit, my waist is about 31,5-32

  9. I'm loving my 15oz RHT, and after seeing those evo pics I'm going to wear them more and hopefully post some evo pics here. The denim is really amazing and like everyone said the attention to detail is superb.
