  1. I just bought these PRPS Demon Selvedge in Rinse. I spent about 45 min looking up what they mean by Rinse wash and all I came up with is raw denim that crinkly. I've had PRPS before may 5 or 6 years ago and they have changed a lot! The purple selvedge the reason behind their name PRPS is no more which kinda weird... Also the multi colored buttons and purple tag are gone too. That said the quality denim is still there fuzzy and really dark blue and the fit is incredible. I think these will be the best jeans I've worn. I got them out of a Marshalls for next to nothing so I'm pretty happy about that.

  3. ^^brackrover, welcome thanks to skurr famiry.

now lose the ugly bowling shoe/moon boot hybrids.

    thanks in advance.

    What’s with the R’s replacing L’s...?

Anyway DVS rules for BMX, so I’ll take what you said with a grain of "sart" as you would say.

  4. yesterday. I spent the rest of the day shrinking and dry in them. Major props to BIG for getting these to me at impressive speed. They also put up with multiple phone calls and emails from me even going as far as re-measuring them. I order a size up and they were big as I thought so I soaked them in hot water for an hour tumble dried them for about 40 min (dying my dryer blue again even though the were inside out) then wore them till dry .

Apparently I can’t take a picture for shit so this is the best I could do with my wife’s crappy camera but here are some fitment pics anyway.

  5. This a double post for me but it applies here as well.

I just order the last pair of Skull 5000xx in size 42 but if you take a look at blueingreensoho.com you are sure to find something that fits. Be sure to check there measurement area because this will help open a variety a denim to you ranging from size 38 to size 42. Before purchasing the Skulls 5000xx I was looking at these.

Paul Smith in size 38 but should fit you.

  6. My friend just got a pair of Oni Blues at BiG, and he's a pretty large guy. Size 40. I'll say for being unique and at a good price, I'll go with the Oni's.

Most these jeans, 'cept for the Skulls, are basically straight leg fits with tall rises.

Thanks for the reply to everyone.

I went with the Skull 5000xx BIG graciously answered all my questions even as far to retake measurements of the Denim. I got the SuperFast next day service so I’m looking at Tuesday before 12.

  7. Where should i look in tokyo for jeans? Im particularly interested in eternal, studio d'artisan, and maybe even skull. Im not sure on the skull cause i kinda have big thighs. Itd also be great if it was on the superfuture map considering 1. I dont know japanese but my friend does 2. Ive never been there

  8. There is no quality problems. They are sewn with cotton thread (like Samurai, Fullcount, etc...) which isn't as durable as polyester thread.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan on riding BMX in them so it'll be great for them to hold up.

  9. I’m about to purchase my first pair of fitted raw denim but my second pair of raw.

I purchase a pair of The Year of Denim Basics but they are much bigger and baggier than what I normally wear. Thanks to the info on this site about how to shrink denim and starch denim. I soaked ‘em in hot water for about an hour, I made the mistake of tossing them in the dryer (died my dryer blue) but I took them out after about 40 min wore them still wet starch the hell outta them till they dried. They are much more acceptable now as they fit much better.

My dilemma now is which fitted classic/repo denim to purchase. I ‘m black and I have the larger ass and thighs to match. My waist is a size 38 but I couldn’t fit the size 38 Pumas Evisu and size 40 is hard to find was hard to find in raw.

After posting in SF I got some good info about BIG having larger sizes, I chkd out their site and gave them a call. They up dated me on what might fit me, so I measured my favorite fitted Denim and narrowed down my choices.

These are the denim I found that fit my body type.

    Fullcount 1108

    Oni Denim Blue

    Paul Smith BIG Red Ear

    PBJ XX-003

    Skull

    Takumi Classic Raw

    Takumi Vintage Raw

I new at this and you guys are the expert so which one should I buy.

    thanks
