  1. This is the best resource to preliminarily gauge what's out there:

$500K or less in W. Hollywood will get you, on average, a one or two-bedroom in a fairly old building that will likely have poor resale value. You will also be hard pressed to have a 'city view' anywhere in W. Hollywood. We have about two residential buildings in this entire area that are higher than 10 stories and there isn't much 'city' to look at unless your definition of 'city' is $2.5 million dollar 2-bedroom houses, Cedars Sinai, and the gay area of Santa Monica Blvd. If you want a high-rise, you are looking at Century City (out of your price range), select spots in Hollywood, or downtown if this is an important factor for you.

If you want something stylish or unique, downtown definitely still has some deals in that range.

Thanks for the link...it's exactly what I was looking for

  2. I'm 23, in the film industry and looking for a condo/apartment/loft in a newer building in Los Angeles. I'm looking to spend between $300k-500k, 1 bedroom with a city view. West Hollywood or downtown would be perfect...anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you!!
