  1. i actually didnt soak the top of the wait till about 25min into the soak, it was wet from first putting the jeans in, but not submerged until 20ish min later. from then, just observed it every 10-15min or so. Moved it out of the water while keeping the rest of the jeans submerged. my hand felt like it burned the first time since the water was still hot, but it progressively got cooler.

i just remember someone on i think the db collab or the seXi04 collab ruined the patch by just dropping the jeans in the hot water, it completely fugged up the patch.

That's weird. Nothing happened to mine after the soak besides a little blue dye, but that was post dried.

  2. cure ,not sure so far .. but it might be because the stacks haven't settled yet.

and eugen, i kinda sized up one. I was aiming for 28 but kiya mentioned 29 would be a better fit. I guess you can go either way.

  3. did an hour boiling soak last night, and these are from this morning's. still slightly damp in the pics.

sorry for the crappy phone pics.

Any thoughts? Might go for a hem.

  4. Oh, I've been wearing them for 3 months. There's some decent whiskers and the honeycombs are already coming in, but not exactly the way I want it.

Not sure if a taper is what I want to change that.

For clarification, its mainly the hip flare that I wanna get rid of.

  5. Can't decide if I should taper my x5000 before or after a wash. I wanna taper them because I'm a slim guy but the hip flare is really making it awkward with the fit. It's already been through an initial soak and an initial wash.

Would it fuck up the fading patterns if I taper them now? Currently not the dream fit.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it's been close to 3 months of wear.

  6. You guys are missing the point, the jeans were brand new when I got the yellow water on the soak. But yeah, it's just starch I'm assuming. Just washed them, hanging dry now and will see if there is a difference.By the looks of it, I could have sized down.

  7. ^^ the water always turns yellowish for some reason. has to do with the dye reacting with something else. i dont know. dont quote me. hahh

try putting them in the washer on hot without detergent. then hang dry.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Without the spin cycle.

Do they go for the for the whole 45 minute-ish like a normal load of clothes does? Sorry with the lame questions, haha.

  8. I soaked some s5000vx and dried them, but I didn't think they shrank much. The hem remained the same, and the water wasn't blue, it was just yellowish. It was a really really hot soak for 2 hours, so I'm kinda confused.

Dunno really wanna go for another soak and just wear them, but what do you guys think?

  9. I see these laying around and get in the mood to take pictures periodically, so for anyone who wants to know what their zero denim is going to look like way down the line

    How long has it been?

  10. wash hot. or soak more than once and you'll get all the shrinking out.

would it be a big difference? I was thinking a really hot water soak an hour-2 hours.

How would a hot wash be, just a quick soak and throwing them in for a hot wash for 15 minutes or so?

  11. Very helpful. He helped me through using a proxy for the first time as well as buying something with paypal. Although the wrong item came to me, I notified him and he was able to help me return them(store's fault) and was able to exchange for the right item, which I was very pleased with.
