  1. i've followed guy cramer's exploits for years and i still cannot decide whether he is a genius or a fraud.

Same here! I had some of his BDUs which were like a 'magic eye' version of CADPAT. I looked really, really stupid.

  2. Please can I ask the opinion of Quoin Jacket owners?

I'm a solid large in the Blazer LT, Indisce, Doeln, Mionn IS Vest and Quoin Vest; as well as dedicated outerwear like the Partition AR and Field LT.

However, the Mionn IS Jacket is none too mobile in the shoulders for me in large, so I decided it's not one for me.

I really want a Quoin Jacket, but looking at the specs on various retailer sites, it looks like it comes up small across the shoulders, in the same way the Mionn IS Jacket does for me.

So, after rambling on, how do Quoin Jacket owners find the fit?

  3. +1 on Charmotte. Very bold and a bit sporty. Reminds me of the red of James Dean's jacket in Rebel.

I think the Gabrel looks OK on the model. Looks a bit like a WWII 'Monty' tunic, sexed-up and futurized.

  4. it's supposed to be a 47 cut, but i tried on 47s and okinawas in the same size and the okis were a bit slimmer. the guy at hinoya said 47s were baggier than the 50-50 denim.

Weird. My Okinawas are only about 0.5" broader at the thigh. Leg opening is about the same.

  5. What are your measurements, no homo?

40" chest, 34" waist, 15" neck. Arm length I need 21" from pit to end of cuff, to feel that a shirt fits right.

The Flathead cut is really flattering on me, but I have a couple of SC western shirts that meet requirements.

My last large SC work shirt is on ebay, but I really wish I'd sold them all on here.

  6. ^ I've been through a few SC shirts. I find on the whole that the large western style ones are a great fit, but going large in the work shirt style (to get the right arm length) means wearing a tent.

I think the Flathead fit rocks best. 42" is a brilliant fit on me - nicely fitted and perfect arm lengh.
