  1. Nas, clearly...I think he should be brought up. You cant talk QB without talking Nas. I just dont know how to dicuss him in a new way without this turning into allhiphop or sohh.

One of the best shows I ever saw was in Austin, Texas. The Roots, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek, Jaguar, Guru, Slum Village, and Bahamadia.

    /QUOTE]

It has nothing to do with the thread topic, but goddamn..thats a dream lineup. Can I ask if you're white though? I was always confused at white people showing up to a Dead Prez show. Not that they shouldnt, but you know. Its almost like a white dude with red hair and freckles showing up to a Nation Of Islam rally in 1968.

ha, funny story... i was at a dead prez show in phx, az this past winter and almost got shot. (i'm a white girl) it was over some stupid graf beef though and i would've been the innocent bystander that usually dies.

  2. the CD isn't bad, georgetown is a cool neighbhorhood and there's also some great pockets of west seattle. the hill is def good for the bar & restaurant scene, as well as the proximity to downtown. hit up the war room for yo, son! (one of the best hip hop nights in seattle)... goods is great store for fresh kicks & gear.

  3. i used to live in seattle... on the hill, in the CD, and on the west side... beautiful city.

blue scholars, cancer rising, oldominion, madk....... all good seattle hip hop as well, but i'm sure you know that.

  4. Do you have anything of substance to add? I can tell if you're being sarcastic or you're new to hip hop and didn't realize how diverse it is having scene Sheek, Prodigy, The Roots, and Jay Electronic discussed one page.

If its the former, 'its nothin' for me to to tell you maybe you can find another thread to up your post count? If its the latter, my apologize and welcome to hip hop.

In other news...I was jut walking home and saw a bunch of "Hi My Name Is:" stickers with the name "Guilty Simpson" in a pretty nice hand style. It was kinda weird, since this is Seattle and I cant imagine Guilty not only having a show here, but getting such a positive response he wanted to be remembered. Plus I cant remember him ever coming here...maybe he didnt even do it.

What part of Seattle are you in? What's your fav Seattle hip hop group?

    Mine = Grayskul

  5. why is it called taking a shit..when your actually leaving it?

    speaking of leaving a shit...

so, this morning on our daily walk to work vita (my dog) took a pretty significant shit. probably the size of a very small chocolate bar or a very big tootsie roll (she's a small dog, that's huge for her). anyway, i forgot her little shit sacks so i had to take a piece of the Vanity Fair i had in my bag. i opened it upright to a page with a pic of karl rove on it with his name underneath. i think you know where this is going. i smeared her shit all over his face...then left it on the sidewalk for all to see. my good deed of the day.

  6. just goes to show that SuFu might not be the best advice for food options (try chowhound.com). Ruth's Chris and morton's are 2 steakhouses that are in every city. they used wet-aged standard steak house beef, nothing dry-aged or special. both places are rip-offs

    bravo~

try harris' for some serious dry aged...

  7. can't say i've really even listened to much of the lox since '98 'money power & respect'..vaguely remember the 2000 album but i have listened to jadakiss & styles p since then..

i'll check it and let you know what i think!

  8. Yeah it's Alaska. I wouldn't mind going after seeing the film 30 Days of night...

alaska, at least the part where i was born and raised, is nothing like that movie. granted, there are barren, frozen tunderous parts of alaska but i think the prettiest region is southeast. temperate rain forests, glaciers, fjords... and you get to see the aurora borealis!

    (over my home town)

    if i could go anywhere....

right now: medellin, colombia or eritrea (only cuz you can't access it from ethiopia and i'm not trying to go to sudan)

  9. no more flashy dashy radio club songs? says the g-unit rapper.

prodigy and his trend commandments! how come i have never stumbled upon his jewel of a website. i'm bookmarking that shit!!!

and yes, while he does have some valid points i'm totally shocked he didn't end it with I'M THE BEST RAPPER ALIVEEEEEE! i've been listening to mobb (note the double b-should there be a copyright symbol as well?) deep since the early 90s, and their time/style (early to mid 90s east coast..and yes, their time..not any time past 98) in hip hop was probably my favorite period thus far HOWEVER do you see nas, jay-z, ghostface, etc throwing little online temper tantrums? buck up camper! altho i wish he had internet access in his cell right now...now that would be interesting.

  10. Release Yo'Delf is my favorite Meth track. It was my entrance for highschool wrestling.

i'm sorry but that just made me giggle... no offense..just imagining a high school kid in a wrestling uniform stepping out as

"check it I'm the fuckin man who they mention

Notice that other niggaz rap styles is bogus

Doo-doo, prepare for this verse Tical voodoo

Blazin, the stuff that ignites stimulation"

comes blastin over the gym's sound system

  11. I really want to sex a chick that looks like the tied up singer in Wu tang "gravel pit" video... not that many potential canidates around here though.

E with the English, extinguish styles extremist

    Bald head beamers run wild

It's the kid with the gold cup

    Stepped out like what

What's poppin, and y'all niggas dobo

    Blastin shae shae, chocolate shortae

Rich color mocks, rock those all day

    1960 shit I'm Goldie

That's right motherfucker don't hold me

The world's greatest, Las Vegas, paid as rock

Skin painted on my face look ageless

Perfect combos, Ghost bang out condos

Jeff from Hamo, ex three bangos

Bancos, stank hoes in plain clothes

Change those, bang those, same old, same old

    shit is bangin

  12. oh dear god, yes. i usually can't cross to the other side due to the patchouli smog that engulfs the entire area, by then i'm too busy being appalled by the hemp "clothing" and the hair atrocities. (i mean, i'm all for being whaetver religion you please...but white people rasta dreads.. VOM!)

  13. ya, it makes your johnson look bigger, especially when you're already lenghty

    or so you think.

meanwhile, when i come across shaved nether regions on men i think to myself, 'does he really think this makes it lookk bigger?' and i laugh silently to myself.

i will admit, it's a different story with women. or at leasts in my opinion.
