your link is broken, but I'm assuming it's just a link to the page for the GTs which does indeed show them in the black cherry color, until you select your size, at which point you see that the only available color is the chestnut.

which is actually quite tempting... if I already own a pair of the GTs in black cherry is it silly to get a pair in chestnut? or should I just hold out and buy a nicer boot?

Silly or not? I got both colors (Moc toe though):

almostnice: loves the fit, you got quite skinny feet though (see from how you can tight the lace all the way up)

It's one of those things that you don't really have rules for, don't worry about it, just wear it the way it works for you and that you like.

I 2nd that ^^^^^, since when I am wearing my shorts I hook the key holder with belt loop, if my belt presents then it goes with the belt.

The Wallet is still going strong no brakes, no loose threads, just tough!!

The color had changed a lot , looks much darker over all, no mink oil or any treatment, I would like to keep the original color under the flap as it is.

Originally the shoes came with both leather heel and sole, but first month of wearing I managed to fall two times cause by the slippery leather sole, beside the leather sole wear out super fast.

I do need some tractions here so I decided to add the rubber half sole and Vibram heel. I love the color and the build quality ,this shoes is only 1 month old still need to break in .
